Think that's the error getting fixed. Can we take Kellaway as a Cat B if he doesn't get a bid? :O
I thought that was just academy kids.

On ability, there’s nothing wrong with drafting a Stringer. If Stringer wasn’t such a nut job, he would have had a much better career.

I’m not sure what more Dyson Sharp could have done. He’s an elite inside player, he’s a threat up forward, he’s been ultra-consistent for two years and he’s a leader. I expect we’ll pick him at #3.
I doubt we love the “next best player” - likely to be one of CDT or Robey. I hope Essendon or Melbourne do. It gives us the option to trade down if the offer is good enough. Trading down is more likely to be with Melbourne than Essendon.
No team is giving up a pick 10-12 for a FF1I wouldn’t be surprised if we trade a FF1 (Tassie draft) for a pick around 10-12 if Grjl is still available. We’d be backing ourselves to be out of the bottom-4 by then, so that pick will slide to 10-15.
This gives us Robey, Taylor and Grjl, and along with another top-5 pick in 2026 plus Tanner Armstrong, Leys and Daffy almost all the young talent we need.
If we are still bottom-3 in 2027 the rebuild is fooked anyway, so let’s get an extra kid into the system now and get 2-years into him.
If there’s nobody they like left on the board they’d absolutely entertain trading out for a FF1. It’s better than taking someone they don’t really like.No team is giving up a pick 10-12 for a FF1
Shocking decision if we do that. Pick 10-12 in a weak draft is not worth at best a top 12 pick in a strong 2027 draft. In which we could still very easily be 14th-16th, and at worst give up a top selection.I wouldn’t be surprised if we trade a FF1 (Tassie draft) for a pick around 10-12 if Grjl is still available. How do you think you get to make this crap up you’ve posted here to support your anti Robey stance and get away with it? I am not for or against Robey, CDT or others. I have watched 4 of his games live and think his kicking, handball etc is average but his physicality, Marking and goal shots are all good. How you can ascertain he has a poor footy IQ from watching YouTube is beyond comprehension. He anticipates the play fantastically and that’s why he’s a high possession impact player and that’s a high football IQ. You’re talking made up bullshit.Another factor is it might be great to have three Heeneys, as Dylan Alexander joked recently, but you also have to pay them.
Maybe the recruiters think Robey is Kmart Lalor, as I do.
Robey has a poorly controlled and tentative kick and handball, poor footy IQ. Stay away from the highlights. If you watch every disposal on the footy stuff YouTube channel there sure are a lot of poor decisions and a lack of situational awareness. Grlj is similar. People just get lured in by a physical beast, especially in a shallow draft.
If duursma still on board at our pick then Ess will have a hard on for our pickI’m not sure what more Dyson Sharp could have done. He’s an elite inside player, he’s a threat up forward, he’s been ultra-consistent for two years and he’s a leader. I expect we’ll pick him at #3.

We perhaps overinvested in tall players last year. If CDT comes up we should trade out or simply take the next best two eg robey taylor sharp etcI’m not sure what more Dyson Sharp could have done. Doesn't address the lack of speed in the midfield. Would prefer Grlj over Taylor if the clubs rates them in the same range.![]()

Not all will make it bro, we still have to keep taking best available this draft and next, and possibly one more after thatWe perhaps overinvested in tall players last year. If CDT comes up we should trade out or simply take the next best two eg robey taylor sharp etc

Richmond has implemented new security measures following the recent leak regarding the 2025 draft!
You could be right that we over invested in talls last year, however, I think CDT is in the top 2/3 players in this draft and if he is available we should take him. In all likelihood if CDT is available, then it’s likely Robey is at WC/gone.We perhaps overinvested in tall players last year. If CDT comes up we should trade out or simply take the next best two eg robey taylor sharp etc

I could also be wrong myself, but it was my understanding an undrafted player who was nominated as a F/S can be added straight to the rookie list before the rookie draft occours. However they take a normal rookie spot, just not a category B one?Sorry I had Kellaway down for the wrong rookie spot so there wouldn’t be a train on in that case. Article might take awhile to update that information lol, I did it for a few other clubs aswell![]()
