Huge pressure on next pick.

He bid on Dean so that he can wear the #6 curse.

CDT, Grjl, Cumming or Taylor… who will Smythe go…

Reckon it’s cdt.

I’m still not a huge cdt fan and would probably take those 3 or sharp ahead of him in most situations. But my good if he hits we’d be the biggest most physically punishing team in the league.

We probably in a good spot with the draft to have a go at it too.

Must be getting close to a bid on Annabelle too, possibility of a trade with the Bombers and slide back 1 spot which would push our 2nd pick to pick 9 which is definitely at the range where we pick for needs, Grilj must be considered at that point.

If you had a choice between 2 gun mids (Sharp/Cummings) who aren’t lightening fast but are really good footballers v 2 guys who are lightening fast but nowhere near as good what are you doing?
I’m all for guys who are fast but for mids I’ll always go the best player

In our situation I would go better mid, then faster mid but it’s a shame we don’t have 3 early picks.

A combination of 3 of Robey, Sharp, Cumming, Grlj or even another mid like Farrow would be really good.

all I know is that we will get 2 good (hopefully great) players from picks 3&4. we will then add 3 more as well as retschko. it's going to make next year exciting to see so much young talent in both the AFL and VFL. it's going to make selection really interesting next year with so many positions up for grabs. I'm even looking forward to training starting next week to see which of the young group will emerge.

How much could west coast ream the bummers by taking CDT or Sharp or Robey as #1 and dangle pick 2 in front of them.

Is Duursma so far ahead of the others that you couldn't risk it?

e.g. 2, 13, F2 for
5, 6, F1

Or is this epic fail waiting to happen?

Wouldn't wanna risk Annabelle coming to Punt Rd, we just got over a curse

Did we miss a trick this year not trading Shorty? Just not sure where his best role is anymore and that will be compounded if we draft a Taylor or Grjl

Should that happen it then becomes the new draftees job to take/earn Shorties position from him, from the VFL.... Id suggest...

Munchausen syndrome. Or is it Stockholm syndrome?

Munchausen syndrome by proxy is when you injure you children to get attention and sympathy...so that's what Meehan was doing ...
Walsh on the other hand is definitely Stockholm syndrome..where after a long period of incarceration you begin to sympathize with your captors

Trainor Miller Gibcus
Banks Balta Brown

As a back 6 in 2 years.

With Vlastuin a shout to still be playing, is a strong and very well positioned back 6 for the future.

If that is our future we will be cut up by small forwards with pace.
X Taylor would offer some point of difference with his agility.

Jacob Blight has signed with Subiaco for 2026, so the Pies must have overlooked him.

He joins former Richmond VFL teammates Will Bravo and Nick Girolami at Subiaco.
I'm surprised he didn't get a run at another AFL club. I assume the rumours about his attitude/personality are true.

Still may, won't be the first player to be rookie drafted or mid-season drafted after signing with the 2nd tier comps.
