Good point. And to add to it, if we have dominant mids (which we will) it makes sense to draft them and uplift them.

I was involved in a mock draft hosted on the Freo page and was selected as Richmond. I was excited to be the Tigs as they have a few lovely pics this year.

Below is what I chose. Let me know how you thought I went.

Richmond (King Huskii)
Picks: 3, 4, 38
Drafted: Sullivan Robey (5), Xavier Taylor (7), Sam Swadling (44)

Don't hate me if I missed your favorite player. It'll be interesting to see how the night goes. I really like Robey and Taylor.

It makes sense, think our board is pretty divided on the 2nd pick we take though. Feel like a lot will be unhappy some ok and a few pleased with this.

Taylor has a very good athletic profile and could play both attacking half back or mid. You drafted some very talented mids last season and I was looking to provide ballance to the squad.

Taylor has a very good athletic profile and could play both attacking half back or mid. You drafted some very talented mids last season and I was looking to provide ballance to the squad.

I think either way our board will be entertaining viewing on draft night with that 2nd pick and if robey isn't picked at all I'd recommend getting the popcorn ready and watching it kick off.

It seems to be a consensus amongst the draft watchers that we are keen on Taylor but I'm not sure what they're basing their theories on. I really can't see a need for him considering what we already have.
