Have argued for years that the AFL should run and fund academies and players from those academies should be open to every club. It’s just a total lottery at present, with the northern clubs hoovering up most of the best talent. Has to stop, even FS should cease to exist. Some clubs have just gained totally unfair advantages from a totally unfair system.

Think id trust Biden around my kid more than the afl ;)

Get around the Oakleigh #5 ya traitor 😁
Gee there is plenty to like about the kid. Steps through traffic well, tackles with intent, speed to spread from the stoppage and ball use is fairly sound. I know it's very early but I wouldn't be throwing the laptop or the remote at the TV if he was picked by us in November

But the most jagga like player is jack dalton …. I hope we are keeping tabs on him
Don't rate Jagga or those undersized accumulator types so hope we aren't tbh.

What’s wrong with a 191cm midfielder who can play half back and half forward and outside mid. Seems handy to me?

In saying that I did watch more Greeves and I kind of take back not wanting him but he still is a butcher at times.
What you've just described is a jack of all trades and good at none. I don't see him translating to an AFL mid. If you watch him he lacks intensity and physicality at the contest.

I watch him at the VFL game. He looked scared. I know that's harsh to say but he did.

im not seeing this years draft as being top heavy as it's reported. so far i reckon it's a pretty even spread of mediocrity tbh. if we're locked into taking a couple of kids, stick to the current formula of picking the highest ceiling players, we need to maximise talent on the list while we're down and tassies out. can get b-grade talent on the way up the ladder.
no vanilla mids that get cheap touches but cant kick plz.

Who do you see as the high ceiling players in this draft?

cdt is one, im just some shlub watching noobs clips but struggling to see any true mids showing glimpses of elite traits tbh duursma might be the other one.

See how he progresses throughout this year, he has all the tools and abilities to be a star that much is true.

Loved That little passage of play by Grlj on the wing (1.59 minutes into the video)where he puts the afterburners on , side steps 2 opponents then hits up a target .
I know it’s only a Coates game but very impressive speed/composure/footskills, playing in the midfield.
My smoky, #14 Max Kondogiannis started that play from the opposite pocket & linked up a couple of times before setting up that passage for Grlj.
Mentioned him last year for the OC watchers keeping an eye on Emmett & Grlj..
Had 20 odd & a handfull of intercept marks, nice outing for the kid.

👍
Just had a look at him, and see he made the R3 CTL team of the week.

That’s good! Love a bit of versatility
Had a look averaged 19 & 1.7 goals on 3 games but only played 2.5 of them so really 23 & 2 which is fair effort.
