Lalor is looking to be much more affective in the mid/fwd role which lets him spit forward out of stoppage. So he isn’t going to be a full time inside mid.

Smillie slants to more inside but he will eventually be able to bust stoppage open with his brute strength thru his hip flicks.

Sharp would compliment these two imo. He is a quality stoppage mid whose working on balancing his game.

Add a quick guy with the 2nd pick plus Hotton & Judson with the already playing Maurice & Seth and all of a sudden we aren't slow at all.

Think Lalor said to Broady that a 60/40 split mid/forward is his ideal role in the future.

Spot on re Lalor he has all the skills to be a 40+ goal a year medium forward/ midfielder. That could be his long term role, rather than a pure midfielder.
Definitely need to continue to build midfield depth. If we were to take Sharp with our first pick (BPA) ideally we’d then grab another midfielder with outside speed, run/carry.

Lalor tracking in the Pertrcca mould. Very clean and looks like he could become the best player in the comp by the time he gets to 23.

already the best in the league in my very unbiased opinion

Jack was certainly cooking in this one. This is possibly the longest single game edit that I've ever done as Cook was involved in everything, racking up disposals all over the ground and applying immense defensive pressure from his position as the sweeper on the back side of stoppage. Jack is as hard working, brave and tough as anyone you'll find at this level, and it'll be an interesting watch to see how far those admirable qualities can take him this year.

Duursma is an impressive player … just need to see how his body develops and how he handles the big games

He’s athletic put it that way. With some beef sheesh

wouldn’t call the bombers Duursma soft. North one definitely

Yeah that collision the other day opened my eyes dam

Grlj from the trial match

27 Disposals
15 Kicks
12 Handballs
89% DE
6 Marks
6 tackles
9 Contested Possessions
2 Clearances
9 Score Involvements

Stealing Walshy's post on Sam Grlj from draft board. That is some performance in a rep game.

Absolutely zero chance WC won’t take CDT… their current rucks are Bailey Williams and Matt Flynn. They are absolute spuds
If they're stupid enough too take a ruckman top 2 let em.

Cody Templeton is shaping up to be of the elite talents for the 2026 draft class and is already producing fantastic performances as a bottom ager. Here we see him demonstrating how dangerous he can be around goals, slotting 5 majors in difficult conditions with the wind making skill execution difficult.

The last one they took at pick 2 turned out ok....
Turned out OK at the centre bounces because of athleticism.
Pure football skill & nous he was average.
He was a solid unit when drafted unlike Duff who is the complete opposite too Natanui.
That's where the risk is.
