Grockadoc still think Emmett is the one? Could probably split an early pick for two later ones would be good enough to get him? Or is it CDT?
tigs2010 Calcium Man - changed my mind, was going to do more MSD videos today but I feel like as soon as the MSD is over its completely done and people lose all interest in it.

CDT enters the champs phase of the season still as the presumptive pick 1 favourite for many, and this was s solid outing in his return to Talent League play. He was competitive in the ruck and his follow up work, but in the first half struggled to impact on the spread as much as he typically does with most of his disposals being scrappy and contested. He was more impactful in the second half as the pressure eased off, and had some impressive contested marks which were a highlight for a guy that hasn't always shown aerial dominance.

haven't seen much of that from any of the prospects if im honest.Im torn in this kid
Is he tall enough to be a modern day Ruck at 199cm ?
These days 205-210 seem to be the range going foward
Would want to see how he tests at the combine
Agility , Speed , tank , leap
Just dont see any Wow moments in the highlights to think shit yeah he is a clear #1

CDT will be well and truly off the board. Will go to the Eagles who are screaming out for a Ruck/Fwd.
Gotta be careful how use those words in here.i'd also be fine with another player who shows even more promise than them (would suck if a kpf became the best player at pick 3 but what could ya do)
I wouldn't be opposed too getting Duff if we got Reid despite my no 1st rnd ruck opinion. The way I look at it is Rucks usually have a pretty undersized impact on a game. You mention Luke Jackson, but then look at his performance against Darcy Cameron the other week. Cameron was able to break even and limit his impact, despite being the less talented player.
That’s the thing. Jackson is a great athlete, but his impact can be neutralised or at least dampened by a decent ruck. Compare that to a genuine mid who’s involved in transition, applies pressure, spreads well, and makes repeat efforts around stoppages. Those are the players who influence winning in a real and consistent way.
And I know CDT can do the above but it’s in the same way Lalor played full forward, it’s a credible facsimile of a FF but you’d rather a genuine one.
When we’ve got two top 5 picks, I’d rather use them on players like Duursma (I’m not even massively high on him, but he’s a phenomenal athlete who finds the footy) and Grlj, who has the traits to genuinely shift games consistently. Premiership rucks are usually grunts and Spending a premium pick on that role feels like overkill to me, especially when you can find someone to break even in the ruck much cheaper.
CDT is a nice piece to add but I don’t think he’s a next level talent compared to the top of the class and I don't think hes changing the direction of the side more than an average ruck would.
I like this
TBH eagles need midfield help more than a ruck. They have williams, Flynn and coengstine plus archer Reid too, I wouldn’t be suprised they chase Louis Emmett over CDT. I’d say they’d go Duursma, sharp, Rodriguez I guess first off. But probably wrong too.
I wouldn't be opposed too getting Duff if we got Reid despite my no 1st rnd ruck opinion.
Me either. LoLIf we get Reid wouldn’t honestly care who we picked.
I could be wrong, but reading through our autopsy threads and the general anger at Taranto, Dow, Hopper, Kmac etc., I think the general consensus is we need midfield help too
If we get Reid wouldn’t honestly care who we picked.
I agree it could well be Emmett. Trained with Richmond in the preseason. He's a better tap ruckman than CDT.Grockadoc still think Emmett is the one? Could probably split an early pick for two later ones would be good enough to get him? Or is it CDT?
Where did you see this?Tigs last night suggested we are definitely looking at taking a ruck in this years draft
Rodriguez would be a great get. We need leg speed and he's a quality user of the ball.Rodriguez looks the most complete mid to me. Inside/outside balance and skillful and has speed.
Fred was looking sensational last year as a 17 year old but looks to be flat this yearRodriguez looks the most complete mid to me. Inside/outside balance and skillful and has speed.
I cannot see Richmond taking either of these two with our first two picks. I'd be rapt if we used one on Rodriguez. Love to get both but just can't see how.Fred was looking sensational last year as a 17 year old but looks to be flat this year
He was my favorite last year and really hope he turns it on in the later part of the year
elite speed and kicks both feet inside/outside mid with good defensive running ability
Adding Rodriguez & Grlj would really improve our midfield and speed
mainly playing colts but will be good to see him against the top kids at the champs
Why ? they both fall into our picks range and are both the exact types we desperately needI cannot see Richmond taking either of these two with our first two picks. I'd be rapt if we used one on Rodriguez. Love to get both but just can't see how.
