I notice Jack Leys had 12 disposals (at 25% 😬) in the same game....
Now that's how you tank.

Might be first game at the level given he's bottom age and played 16s last year.

Mentioned by Ross I believe, that our guys recruited players they believe are built for finals, that is Sharp. He hunts the footy and the man like very few can and do. He is the guy you will turn to when the footy needs to be won.

Sharp, Smillie, Lalor, Hotton and Fred will be the best mid group in the game and has it all plus some.

Will need to see Sharp seriously clean up his disposal for me to want him.

So we can rule out Duursma then? ;)

His hands are good, his kicking action isn’t great but it’s more often than not effective.
Probably the best insight into what type of player Sharp is and becomes

Sounds like Tim Taranto.

Not sure Sharp is what we need in an ideal midfield mix.

Depends on what you are looking for

Could also sound like Trent Cotchin
leadership
Ball accumulation as a young player
dominating all through junior years
also kicking needs improvement

I think he compliments our needs perfectly for the next 10 years.
Say he's an inside beast like Clayton Oliver in his prime and has the equivalent DE, he's perfect for doing the grunt work & applying himself defensively at the contest while we have class like Lalor, Smillie & Hotton on the outside.

I'm not against further class by foot like Rodriguez but having an inside bull will still be a big requirement for our team once Prestia, Hopper & Taranto's careers start to fade.

We have Smillie for that. We need a balanced midfielder with footskills far more IMO.

See who emerges and what picks we end up with, but Sharp sounds like he has Richmond written all over him. Hard, tough, big 2 way player with a penetrating(but imprecise) boot and great hanball skills to feed it to all our gun kicks Trainor, Brown, Gibcus in defence, Banks, Lalor, Smillie around the middle, Armstrong forward.

This against sharp because we have 2 inside bulls already need to realise 2 things.

We take the best kid available and if it’s Sharp then it’s Sharp.

He will also be in his prime when we are competing and TT at the end or forward.

He seems to sort of volley the ball a bit by dropping it when he kicks rather than guiding it onto his foot. Also a slightly ungainly but pretty efficient looking shuffling running style. Looks like he would adapt fine to half forward or half back in his early years. Rather have him on our side than playing against us I think.

strongly disagree. He's a neat kick when he has time. He's a woeful kick if there's any pressure at all.

Lets not forget he still has another year to iron out issue's

The perfect duo for Richmond is fred and sharp that way we get both the players we need

The way west coast is playing they will be priming to pick him before we can.

Haha this is true but comes backs like that don’t happen often. Do west coast need a player like Rodriguez?
WC need 22 new players I reckon. They may beat us this year but we will fly past.
