I wish. Genuinely surprised he isn’t in cals or the espn list.

Admittedly I’ve only seen 2 games vic metro 17 vs Queensland 17 in August and the futures game. But he was close to best on in both games and is very very good by foot. Something I haven’t seen with Onley.

Guess I’ll just be happy that the hawks didn’t weasel their way into getting him as an academy player.

While I’m having a whinge, last years Coates league stats are impossible to find now the app has been updated for the 2025 season. Incredible to me how bad the afl continues to be with recruiting data.

Go to the fixture and then flick across to 2024 and find a game the player you want played in and you can get to profile but only gives averages per year

Not the first time Cal's missed the mark with his early top 10. Had Tyler Welsh & Kade Herbert (who?) last year

Once the recruiters tell him where to put them he gets more accurate.

Picking a top 10 for 17 year olds would be pretty difficult 12 months before the draft though. Basically your relying on the data ftom 6 months before when those players were still only 15 nearly 16.
Doubt many people could pick a top 10 correctly that far out.

Of course not, look at the duds GC got when they had to do that. Horrific.

Tassie will have to do the same and will struggle with that.

If Sims is the ruck then yes rebuild complete. Maybe an elite half back.

Wouldn't mind a little campaigner small forward either. Type that can kick 5 or 6.

This. No clue why you draft a full time ruck unless they’re Natanui like or it’s a rookie pick. I reckon only Gawn and English are good (and I don’t really rate English as I think he lacks physicality for finals) rucks playing at a club that drafted them in 1st /2nd round.

I made call on lalor early , I'm going with CDT , thing is we prob don't need him which means we should be open to offers for our early pic .
TBH I dont think we come bottom in any case , anyone seen wc key defenders , oppo will kick the ton every week .
We should be focussed on skilled hybrid mids that can kick goals in there sleep and are express

Elite small forward should be the first rd pick target 2026. Our mids and talls should be pretty close by then.

Elite HB flank is Trainor imo. Great of Gibcus shows signs of life this year too with his kicking and marking ability.

Tassie will have it a little bit easier than GC/GWS. Pre-listings can be born up until the end of June, rather than only Jan-April.
