None of of Faull, Armstrong or Fawcett are ruckman and Simms appears to be more of a forward/ruck.

If CDT is recruited as a ruckman he would br playing a totally different role than the others and fills a serious list need as a young genuine ruckman.

yeah if he is a Darcy type then we take him no brainer... hindsight we should have taken Reid instead of Jonty.

I personally think we will take Dursma with pick 1 if things stay the way they are.

Watching some Duursma highlights from the weekend ( including an incredible smother and goal assist that suggests he’s got more to his game than just flashy dashes off hb/wing) he’s put on some size. He’s definitely no beast but doesn’t look like the spindly specimen from last year.

Yep early days.
Good start however, up against Onley in the midfield- 14 contested possessions, 5 clearances, 78% kicking efficiency ( in very blustery conditions).

I am not on the Duursma train but I'm open minded and it's very early so anything can happen.

If he plays inside midfield all year and dominates with that size and movement skills, you wouldn't be able to ignore it. I'll need to see it first. I need to see consistent ball winning as well the outside game

I think he needs to show improvement with his disposal too, but that's a pretty common knock on a lot of the top prospects this year.

If this guy is more than just a ruck that's fine, but you don't spend that draft collateral for the purposes of getting a number 1 ruck.

I was very impressed when i seen the numbers yesterday but after watching that footage
Wow it was either a very very windy blustery day or his disposals are totally crap
i would be surprised if 50% of them were effective and his DE would be totally crap.
