The beauty about this rebuild is we have already taken our KPP this year
Usually in rebuilds this is the area that takes the longest to develop and set up the spine
Armstron , Fawcett , Sims , Trainor , Gibcus , Faull , Brown , Blight , Miller , Ryan we should get our 3 KPD & 3 KPF from this lot as well as hopefully our Future Ruck from Ryan , Colina & OHB

We've also denied everyone else, that's the big thing that is often overlooked. These guys are all with us. They aren't instant impact players but will develop on our list while other clubs have to persist with what they have, wait another year, or do what North did and over pay to get one of the remaining talls who may not even work out.
If the next couple of drafts are light on for KPP we are going to be laughing.

I would possibly take Onley if we don't get both Sharp and Rodriguez at our available picks. At this stage.I lived vicariously through you blokes and blokettes on draft night last year because the Lions' picks were already a foregone conclusion, and I had a blast watching your team draft well and take advantage of North's utter incompetence
The Lions are taking academy prospects again this year so I may as well follow Richmond for the draft again. It's nice to see an organisation that knows what it's doing.
I see there are two highly rated tall mids firming for the top 5, Riley Onley and Ollie Greeves. Is there still any need for a tall mid for you, since you already have Smillie?
Hibbins-Hargreaves is another option.

Our club can be really stupid sometimes, should have just mentioned we were going to Samoa for Lefau to see family instead of mentioning a possible recruitment zone.
CFL just thinks hmmm we can't have that happen so heres what we are going to do.

'class' 'dare' 'leg speed' 'either foot' 'doesn't fumble'. Sounds absolutely perfect for us, as long as he can hold his own in the contest.
We've shown in the past that we're not afraid to pull the trigger on WA kids and it hasn't come back to bite us at all (until this year), but hey if we get 2 or 3 premierships out of him first like we did Bolton and Baker then WGAF.
Weagles will be desperate to get their hands on him.
Going to be ****ed when a Riewoldt lines up for them in 2041.

Josh Reichelt turned in a best on ground performance for Centrals to get his 2025 top age season off to a flier. He played predominantly as a rebounding defender with a few stints on ball, finding a stack of the footy and combining outside run with poise and a classy right boot to consistently launch attacks for his team.

I wish. Genuinely surprised he isn’t in cals or the espn list.
Admittedly I’ve only seen 2 games vic metro 17 vs Queensland 17 in August and the futures game. But he was close to best on in both games and is very very good by foot. Something I haven’t seen with Onley.
Guess I’ll just be happy that the hawks didn’t weasel their way into getting him as an academy player.
While I’m having a whinge, last years Coates league stats are impossible to find now the app has been updated for the 2025 season. Incredible to me how bad the afl continues to be with recruiting data.
