Questions have to be asked how valuable Jackson actually is to that Freo team. Freo are last in clearances in the league with Darcy injured and Jackson leading the ruck. Freo fans are begging for Darcy to come back.

Jackson gets a lot of possessions because he's around the ball a lot but overwhelmed in actual ruck contests. He's not physically dominant. He's an okay to average forward.

This is going to be the CDT problem if he continues to look undersized in the ruck and only looks so so as forward. What's the argument for going so early in the draft?

Zero chance I'm picking CDT at pick 1 on current outlook.
I think that would depend on his leap , TDK is listed as 201cm on the CFC website but is the best Ruck in the game today
If CDT has a good leap like TDK then he wont have an issue and has a frame that will be strong enough in 2-3 years

Cooper Duff-Tytler

Height: 200cm

DOB: 22-08-2007

CDT doesnt turn 18 until late August and wouldn't be surprised if he ends up 203-204cm
He could very well have a sensational year and end up a top 5 pick or even #1 if he dominates
A kid this size with his athletic traits and so little development so far you would have to expect massive upside
Luke Jackson was a pick #3 so there is certainly a demand for this type of player in the pointy end.

Duursma

“One scout likened Duursma’s ability to explode from congestion after receiving handballs on Sunday to Giants star Finn Callaghan. And the scary thing is scouts believe Duursma can go to another level if he can improve his contested game throughout the year”

LOL "Duursma can go to another level if he can improve his contested game"
He is a Duursma and the word contested does not sit well

“I haven’t seen a start to a season like that from a top-end pick,” a second AFL club recruiter told foxfooty.com.au of Duff-Tytler’s opening major.

While Emmett had the advantage at ruck contests, Duff-Tytler’s exceptional mobility, strong ball-handling skills at ground level and ability to play as an extra midfielder around the ground was on full show. Recruiters have likened that ability to Bulldogs All-Australian ruck Tim English, while also possessing speed and strong overhead marking skills.

It was an impressive reminder of Duff-Tytler’s tantalising talent and potential to the Coates Talent League fraternity.

A likely Pick 1 competitor with Duff-Tytler this year is another star to have emerged from the famous family from Foster.

Interesting watching Geelong tonight and seeing Zac Guthrie - a spud early - and Conor O’Sullivan - who they held back year 1 , develop in to such high quality players. Naturally there are your Dusty’s that thrive in any environment but development is so crucial and hopefully our lads are getting the appropriate education and cultural development. Make or break otherwise.
* I often ponder if tambling went to hawthorn and buddy to the tigers if old how their career trajectory’s would have panned out…🤔

Sam Cumming named at RR for North Adelaide U18s

It's all part of the CFL conspiracy to have us overlook him so that WCE can pick him up on the cheap. ;)

They've had to step in because old mate Matty Clarke didn't take the Blooze picks 🤣

The expectation was the Lindsay would move into the midfield in his top age season, and we got confirmation of that in the opening round of Talent League action. Lindsay was a strong influence at stoppage and contests, especially impressing without the footy with his defensive pressure and tackling. His typically elite disposal skills were perhaps a little rusty or effected by the windy conditions, but he did manage to lace out some damaging darts in the second half.

Unfortunately had to mute the audio again in this one due to the wind in the effects mic.

Is he Geelong NGA ??
