A quieter performance this week from Willem, but he still played his role and impacted the contest in a good win for his Power team. He started deep forward this week and might have spent a bit more time there than on the ball. His cracked in hard in contested situations and applied strong defensive pressure as always, the main concern again was his disposal efficiency which he struggled with, although once again it was a very windy day which made things difficult.

I'm going to go a bit wider this week once I get through the usual suspects and Grilj is one I definitely intend to get to soon. Maybe Thursday or Friday.

Apparently you don't even pronounce the j at the end. Its like grill but without the i.

Archie Ludowyke put in an excellent performance and booted the winning goal in a fun back and forth, end to end contest. His hands were mostly assured, and he burned off his opponent to create space on the lead a number of times. What might have been most impressive were his excellent pressure efforts throughout the game that caused fumbles and turnovers.

Yes I remember in last years futures game against Footscray they had AFL listed players like Freijah and Harmes playing, so we might see Smil/Jonty/Sims/Alger etc play against them

That will be an interesting game to watch. Most of the guys we want will be there and we can get some genuine insights from our players about playing on them. Nice.

Cant imagine any young gun wants to play VFL for their first year rather than playing AFL... or even 'established players' to spend a whole year playing VFL in below AFL standard grounds and facilities.
