His kicking was absolutely shizenhousen in that game and that's not a one off.

His kicking is fine. It's certainly not a strength but it's not a liability. I think he's got the best blend of inside and outside ball winning ability of all the mids this draft.

Sharp's kicking is on Taranto's level. Look at the way the ball drops on to the boot. It's always a floater or helicopter.

A lot but we miss Cotch, Dusty and Prestia more. They're the ones you need top 10 picks or salary cap space for.

Lindsay has some flaws in his game imo. Can be masked at half back a bit but yeah not sure i want to use a top 4 or 5 pick on a hbf who isn't a massive intercept player.

Hopefully Mcauliffe makes a decision abit easier.

That is simply not true. You've obviously made up your mind on his kicking.

He does have some shockers but those are in contest situations. General field kicking is good.

I haven't made up mind at all. I'm just pointing out what I am seeing. The ball consistently drops sideways onto his boot from his hand. His kicking action is flawed.

Is he good enough to draft with that in mind? He's going to have to dominate every game for me to want him with a top 2 pick given his foot skills.

Agree. I'd add Greeves to that list.

Lots of different types in their as well so we can be selective with what we want/need.

Sharp had a few shit kicks here and there but so has Greeves. Greeves I’ve noticed more but only thing Sharp has is game breaking ability he puts teams on his back I like that.

His ball winning ability, size, attack on the contest is elite. That's why he's a top 5 pick.

If you want elite skills draft Lindsay. The good thing about our picks is we can select both potentially.

He reminds me of Matt Rowell. Arguably top 10 player in the comp. He has kicking issues.

Im not convinced he is an elite Ruckman and not sure if he has the leap of TDK
looks more Blicavs type imo

Another in the running for BOG in this game, Josh Lindsay was at his damaging best with his dash and incisive kicking off the half back line. His tendency to try and pick off attacking targets in the corridor is admirable and he was able to successfully set up several scoring chains for the Academy this way.

Well, I’m so glad you’re not our recruiting Manager then. Sharp looks like the most bankable player in this draft but you don’t want him at this stage

After a relatively quiet start, Sharp is building nicely into his season. He was much better in game 2 for the AFL Academy, leading a midfield group that dominated their more mature Coburg opponents for most of the game. Sharp wasn't just winning the ball at the coalface, he also gained territory pumping the ball inside 50 on 10 occasions and while some of those kicks weren't as spearing and precise as you might like was still responsible for setting up a number of scoring opportunities for his forwards.

This kid is a jet, finds the ball, wins clearance's, tackles, big boot can hit targets but in congestion makes quick sometimes ineffective kicks, he’s going to be our number one target.

The more I watch Lindsay the more I feel he isn’t a mid. He’s a Half back. He’s like the perfect replacement for Jayden Short

If he’s not a mid and just a pure half back then I don’t think I’d want to use such an early pick on a half back …. Can usually get them later in the draft eg short

I suppose we will see throughout the year but by the academy game he played majority half back. Where as Greeves, NGAs and Sharp were in the mid.
