Xavier has been a decent player not really good or great. I would say he has justified pick 18 though.

Zane has been a pretty big bust so far given he was pick 4 but it is early. He looks scared of the contest and has only had more than 10 posessions twice in 19 games. Only have to go look at what North fans are saying about him.

People would have him most in mind re the Duursma name.

Dyson Sharp is propably the most guaranteed player to reach the higher level at AFL and play 200 games
Love his ball winning ability , size , determination and defensive ability and mindset
100% would take him with 1 of our picks in the top 5

Cal twomey saying that the top group of guys in previous drafts like the 2023 draft in Mckercher, Walter, sanders, duursma ,watson, caddy and in the 2024 draft in O'Sullivan, Smith, Draper, Ashcroft, Langford would all be the number current number 1 pick in the 2025 draft. That recruiters aren't that interested in trading out valued contacted players for picks this year.

Seems pretty set on Cooper Duff- Tytler being pick 1 as well

Yeh Cal did preface it by saying that the champs will tell the story but at this stage that's how he and recruiters view it.

Darcy Cameron was linked strongly to West Coast today which doesn't make much sense, given age and who is at the top of the draft.

If Mcgovern is medically retired the eagles key back stocks are deplorable but can't see them keeping Allen only to play him back. Think eagles will let him go regardless if he nets them pick 2, if he is band 2 then think he is a good chance to stay. If they are chasing experience could see them target guys like Sam Frost, Darcy Gardiner or younger WA guys like Judd McVee, Jed Busslinger maybe even Jacob Blight

Nothing "wrong" with them, but there's a little bit of history with Xavier. He got stuck into Lynch in the 2020 prelim and then dropped a costly sitter later in the game. He also has that stupid bow and arrow celebration. One time we were up by 40 odd at the G against Port and he kicked a soda 25m out and ripped out the celebration in front of our fans. He's just one of those players that Richmond fans love to hate. In the same category as guys like Mitch Robinson, Mason Cox and Tex Walker.

As for the Norf one, he's been a bit underwhelming for such a high pick.

They're not awful players, but the Duursma name probably doesn't fill Richmond supporters with a lot of confidence after Xavier became a meme and Zane could end up becoming a bust (plus he plays for Norf).
