Dont forget to watch SA local/Port supporter Harley Barker (187cm) outside mid with good speed and endurance.

Our former 2025 first round pick (now with the suns) is currently pick 6

ESPN Power rankings (of the players in the 2025 draft) has Dyson Sharp in position 6

 imagine if we still had it and had a chance at getting Dyson Sharp (as a Future Wines replacement) for our midfield
We do need to win most of our games for the rest of the season to recover from that call.

I've a feeling Bergman stays along with Butters.

Bergman becomes the mid we are looking for that's a good thing.
Hopes so, something for Carr to build a team around.

Francis - Rozee - Butters - Bergman is a great start.

It's the key positions that will be difficult especially getting good solid defenders, our forward line is not so much of an issue with MG, Luko, and Marshall when he resumes and I really rate Lord, he must keep playing to develop.

That is something Port can work with. Getting good tall defenders though is another story.

can someone explain to me why sharp went from potential number 1 pick to potential top 20 pick?
Think its gone under the radar that he started in SANFL league and was played up forward mostly there where he didnt thrive but also wasnt bad. There's perhaps some questions now on his versatility, he's starting to look like a pure inside midfielder in the mould of Wines. Whenever he's played at lower levels than SANFL league he's dominated. Still think he'll end up being top 10 tbh.

Wines isn’t quite the right comparison as Wines can take an overhead mark and provides a bit more around the ground. But know what you’re going for.

Sharp seems to be a pure inside mid like a Mitchell, Brodie, Oliver or Worpel, where there is no other role unless they’re on the ball. That’s out of favour at AFL level.

There are question marks on his ball use and goal kicking. And overall athleticism.

Think someone will get a steal as it feels like he will be sliding and could be available in that second round.

Yeah I meant more the grunt stuff Wines does not so much the around the ground stuff.

Best not to post this again. It’s bloody depressing.
