He ain't coming to Port with our 2nd round pick, that's for sure. I think he's a top 10 talent in this draft but the injury may have him slightly lower
Hard to tell isn’t it?

SA comp is weaker and he is killing it there. Missed the champs. Tests well. Hasn’t played against men. Wouldn’t surprise if he goes top ten and also wouldn’t surprise if he slide to 15-25.

I think he would be perfect at port as a small/half forward who can push up the field and play midfield.

Jevan is barely noted by the interstate draft watchers here. Can’t recall where they have him on their lists but doubt it’s high at all.

Don’t know where teams recruiters have him, but yeah. I don’t see any evidence that he’s a certainty to be beyond our reach.

Interstate draft watchers are used to watching only Victorian products tbf.

By the end of the year Jevan will be in the top 15 of most

If it wasn't for his injury I think he'd have played seniors at some stage.

Cumming played his first league game yesterday for 16 disposals which is a good start for him

If Vic Metro are bad this year, causing many to say the 2025 draft is shallow, then how bad is WA's draft pool. They were thumped by Vic Metro today in WA.

WA have played their 4 games and only win was against Vic Country in WA by 3 pts.

Just went through the team list as I didn't watch the game.

I expect 18 players from Metro to be selected

7 maybe 8 from WA

It just shows that the crop this year lacks the top end talent in the first 10 picks which usually are from Victoria. The stars that have potential to break open games. There's probably about 50 prospects that could be good AFL level role-players.

Keep an eye out for Louis Emmett's back half of the season. Could be around our first pick or maybe higher depending on how he goes but could add to the ruck depth with good forward craft. Has some Luke Jackson type traits.

Dusty Geister kicked 4 goals in the Reserves today. Stats include 11 disposals, 4 marks, 2 contested marks, 2 tackles

18 year old KPF 192cm who was predominately playing U18 SANFL now starting to make an impact in the Reserves.

Reminds me a little of Charlie West from last year drafted by Collingwood.

For me he's more the type of Jay Polkinghorne who was drafted to Geelong. I actually really don't know why there isn't more chat about him. Rookie me central says he's a 19 year old. But SANFL website says 18 so that's interesting. Let's not hype him up but hope the club is watching him.

Pretty sure Port are. Seems a likely rookie type. Great hands 20-05-2006 birthday so 19 but just came across from the Sunraysia league I think it was this year?

I’ve liked him all year.

Is that based on Intel that you think Port are looking at him?

He was playing for Bendigo pioneers the last 2 years but very few games. Not sure where he was otherwise

For team balance, assuming that Finlayson is delisted, we should target another key forward and someone who already has a good frame and has shown they can kick bags of goals would be ideal.

Somehow we still need to add talent and class to the midfield and also nab another small forward who actually kicks goals and doesn’t just run between the arcs as a high forward.

NWM would naturally solve the midfield class pursuit.

Rome Burgoyne would help solidify our defensive stocks. Possibly allow Sinn to move to a wing in the longer term which he has spoken about.

Then a small goal-kicking forward and developing tall forward would be my priorities.

That’s assuming the club likes what it has in Walsh, Moss and Ramm for defenders.

Assuming Soldo goes - we need a 3rd ruck from the draft and just needs to be a development one. Lachie Monteath could be interesting with VFL experience and mature ager already. Otherwise Zac Harding.

Finlayson and Lord out, Marshall takes one spot and another from the draft, Geister could be in the mix and hopefully Tairon Ah-Mu and Charlie McKinnon is there as well.

Assume Burton, Atkins and Williams out, Louie Montgomery and Burgoyne from the draft would be nice. Louie is doing well in VFL. Xavier Taylor also a draft target

McEntee and Anasta out, Tommy Cochrane comes back to fill one spot and another I'd like to target Zane Peucker

Boak retires, this is where I'd use our first pick likely to get one of BOB, Barker, Thomas Burton, Brodie Atkins.

A top 30.

Dont know how accurate that list is, but only 2 Vic Metro lads in the Top 10 and another 3 between 11 and 20 confirms how poor the depth of the draft is.
