Below is the current draft order, I'm not going to allow more than 60 picks to be made as Cal Twomey has stated 44-57 players will be selected, if we can make a table or something like a banner to show whos been selected, will be very helpful for everyone involved as it makes it not confusing. Please don't spam the thread with messages either, makes it difficult to follow and doing write up on a prospect is totally optional if you really want to justify your reasoning and rational behind the selection.

Ok we’ve now got all 18 clubs sorted. I won’t start the draft now, I’ll give everyone a bit of time to do some research into what prospects they feel or like is best suited for their assigned clubs.

I’m going to give you guys tonight to do your research and then tomorrow we will commence. I’m now going to give you a run down on the rules.

I’m going to give every selection a maximum of 12 hours, I’ll be lenient if it’s a few minutes over it but if a selection isn’t made then the highest rated player in Cal Twomey's Phantom guide or rookiemecentral will be used to justify a selection for that particular situation.

For bidding and matching bids, I will be very lenient and I won't expect you to calculate the points, if you're in deficit it can be assumed you will just lose points in future drafts. Now I'm going to be very strict with how many players get selected, I'm not going to allow more than 60 players to get selected, and I'm also expecting you to know the list sizes for your allocated clubs, so don't pick more players for a club if they don't have the capacity to do so. Also if you do bid on a player, you won't be receiving extra time, this is for if it is matched but if it is not matched you will receive an additional 12 hours if you also have the next selection. You should know what player is getting selected within those 12 hours, hence why you won't receive additional time and to not drag out this mock draft.

For trading up or down, I'm going to leave that to so and so clubs to negotiate a price, please do not be biased and just shaft a club on purpose because you dislike them, it has to be realistic and I won't allow deals like for example "Essendon's picks 5 & 6 for west coasts pick 1 or 2 and 13" these types of trades are not realistic and please don't trade a 2026 first rounder to get into the second round of this draft or a pick in the 20's, this isn't realistic and fair, and won't be allowed.

I'm going to begin the mock draft tomorrow at 10 am, and the first pick will be made by eDPS, once you're done with your selections please @ the next recruiter and once your selection is made the next person's clock will begin right away, also if you're planning to make a bid, also @ that recruiter as well, if you have not @ them and the time passes, you will not be granted that player.

I'd recommend using a google sheets that you can put in the OP.

With pick 3 I will bid on Zeke Uwland.

If they bid I think it means Gold Coast will use pick 15, 18 and 24 and receive pick 30 back.

ant555 you matching? If so can a mod change the pick order above for the pick changes.

I’ve removed the picks used for Zeke Uwland, I’ll just have to update the table as we go.

Ok. Richmond go the double bid and go for Dan Annable.

ghostdog you going to match? If I did my maths correct with shifting picks it will take all your picks (after the Uwland bid I think 16, 20, 45 and 52 to match the bid and not getting you anything back)

Awesome.

With pick 5 Richmond select Dyson Sharp

A big contested defensive minded midfielder to join with Smilie and Lalor as the midfield of the future. Smilie will extract and Lalor will be the class. Sharp balances well with the other two and then they can run some half forwards and speedier types through at times. Building for the midfield post Taratno/Hopper.

With pick 6 Richmond select Xavier Taylor.

Defensively sound and a great interceptor. He will have a few years to learn from Vlastuin before becoming the general of the new look Richmond defensive back six in the years to come.

doug85 you are up for Melbourne.

Isn’t Essendon next? I believe it’s Red Black and Blue turn?

With pick 7 Essendon select Sullivan Robey.

With pick 8 Essendon select Sam Cumming.

These guys are probably 1 and 2 for who I want in the draft. CDT and Taylor also acceptable if one slips. So really happy with where our picks fall, inside the quality picks for once.

Good runners, great size, like the contest, can play multiple positions, complement each other/what we have already, goal kickers and have nice penetration on their kicks. Like Cumming's ability to jump and compete in the air, point of difference in our midfield (Durham aside). There are few things about Robey that are a bit raw like his handling/handballing, but given his rapid height growth and adjustment, I'm hopeful he'll improve at that.

doug85 you're up
