Pretty excited about our young forward line at the moment. Keeler out for Max and its a serious goer.

Higgins looks in career best form. Going at 3 goals a game atm and if that continues, he's every chance to win the bloody Coleman

Owens is just a freaking unit. I said it ages ago, but I still think he is more Gehrig than Koota. Will be even better with Max around to take the double team.

Lancey boy Collard will have some down days for but he knows where to be when there are goals to be kicked. Was also the case in the VFL last year, and it's something you just can't teach

Hall is surprisingly good by foot, and adds a much need forward of center connection into the 50

Sharman maybe a bit rusty, but on the days he brings it all together he looks amazing

And finally Big Max, if he could just get a solid run at it, and become the spearhead he was drafted to be, then we are really cooking with gas.
Higgo - very dangerous- covering the ground better than he ever has - very fit!

Lance Collard is growing before our eyes.
The scoring threat, the defensive pressure and that chase down tackle 🍆
I’ve been critical of what I’ve seen at training. But his pressure has been much better than I expected. Great to see him with the swagger to waltz around Short, damn post getting in the way of one of the more exciting goals.

Collard played an alright game and now we have people claiming him as a best 22 moving forward lol?

Butler is better than Collard
Selection integrity rewards good performances

Collard has had two good performances in two brilliant wins where our forward half game has significantly improved from last year

Would be very surprised if Butler isn't made to earn his spot via the VFL

I’m not saying he’s getting dropped for Butler, I don’t like dropping players after a win. Just weird to see people getting dunked on for thinking he wasn’t going to make it. Way too early to tell

If Nas could re-sign soon, that'd be great thanks.

I've loved watching him take his game to another level this year - but I feel this tiny pang in my heart every time he does something great. I call it the "Josh Battle" feeling. That sinking "we're cultivating this talent for another team's premiership tilt" feeling.
Apologies - don’t want to be Mr Negative - love NAS & desperate for him to stay - but his kicking this season is off!

Watched him at training last 2 years and never misses a target in congestion or last year in the real stuff - not at the same standard this season in the real stuff

Loveeeddddd Lancey

2 goals including a ripper.
1 poster that could have been a GOTY contender
Another point he should have kicked.

A couple ripper chases.

Love to see it.

Also Wilson with a poorer game but still 20 and a goal.

Oh and my boy Trav. How good are his hands
The boy just knows how to footy doesn’t he. His ability to get hands free and find teammates, his linguine arms bringing down bigger blokes for HTB X 2, and his movement is superb.

2-1 the best I personally hoped for after R3 so pretty happy.

Also note that we had 7 guys under 11 games today: Garcia, Hastie, Collard, Hall, O'Connell, Keeler, Travaglia. The two unused emergencies (Schoenmaker, Boyd) also under that mark.

Obviously the best round of the year for that, playing the Tiges at Docklands.

1 win from the tricky next 4 is par, 2 would be great: Port away, GWS away, Dogs away, Lions home.

If we are serious we will beat Port and Dogs

Not sure of if it’s been mentioned.

But….

We are in the 8 this week. Irrespective of tomorrow’s results.

Let’s try split 1 of the next 2 please. 🙏

I'll take a win over Port at Adelaide Oval, we simply have to start winning on that track if we want to improve.

Hopefully we get Steele & Stocker back, obviously LOC will miss a week. Butler may need a week or two in the two's. Does anyone know if Clark will be available? King probably another couple of weeks away?

The VFL side lost Carroll leg injury and Dodson concussion today, and I don't know if anyone deserved a call up from that game.

Bergman isn’t primarily a lockdown type.

And you won’t see him play on Nick Watson for example.
I know he isnt but he's the type that'd put his frame in every contest and fight like Web does

So is O'Connell

Those two would be a pretty nice upgrade on the Webster-Stocker duo we've seen in the past

LOC on the #1 small. Bergman the hybrid type that can play any role in defence

I was wondering if had a right leg jab and his leg was numb? He was extraordinarily exciting at times and beyond awful elsewhere.

Same here. Thought he was too lackadaisical and didn't have what it takes to be an elite AFL player.
Someone said they thought he would come good once he thought he belonged.

Seems like he feels that now. Big smiles on the field and at the end of the game singing the song. Showed quite a bit tonight and great to see him kick a couple of good goals.
