So, by my count, the players still in contention to win the 2025 Gary Ayres Award:

I'd suspect two or three on that list will catch Newcombe's tally, so I think that those on four votes would be pretty long odds to get the perfect score to catch and overtake Newcombe, without another ahead of them on the list getting the handful or so of votes they need to catch and overtake them.

It's much less likely someone will catch Newcombe if Geelong win.
Correct. Pre-weighting:
The 4-voters need a a maximum 10.
Smith needs 8 to tie and 9 to win outright.
Dempsey needs 6 to tie and 7 to win outright.
Dangerfield needs 6 to win.
Blicavs needs 5 to win.
Andrews needs 4 to tie and 5 to win.
Washcroft and McCluggage need 4 to win.
Obviously there could be combinations of the above that give more joint winners or push the winning total higher.
