Conti's 8th club B&F win (1 for the Bulldogs, 7 for Richmond). All in a row.

McKenzie finishes runner-up, breaking from the 1-2 combo Conti and Sheerin had for the past 3 years.

Graham's only previous top 10 finish was in 2023 (equal 10th).

Egan's fourth consecutive top 6 finish at Richmond.
Odd that they are offloading Egan. I would have thought more fitting delist options than a consistent top 6 b and f player.

West Coast AFLW Club Champion Top 10
1st: Ella Roberts (144)
2nd: Charlie Thomas (134)
3rd: Lauren Wakfer (124)
4th: Georgie Cleaver (118)
=5th: Bella Lewis (111)
=5th: Jess Rentsch (111)
7th: Jaide Britton (110)
8th: Emma Swanson (104)
9th: Zoe Wakfer (101)
10th: Lucia Painter (99)

A repeat of last year's 1st and 2nd, which itself was the reverse of 2023.

Roberts and Matilda Scholz this year join a short list of players to have won 2 consecutive B&Fs before turning 21. The others being Maddy Prespakis and Georgia Patrikios (both as teenagers), Alyce Parker and the recently mentioned Monique Conti.

On the topic of age, West Coast's top 10 featured just 2 players who are currently older than 22: the 23yo Bella Lewis (who has been top 10 every season since her debut in 2021) and the 30yo Emma Swanson (top 10 for every season since the club's debut in 2020).

Conti needs to leave Richmond, she is wasting her talents at a third-rate program. A move to Carlton could make them genuine contenders.

Is this now where you mentioned she was a die hard North supporter as a kid?

Imagine the melts...
We don't need her, we have one of the best midfielders returning next season. :)

Top 5 – 2025 AFLW Western Bulldogs Best and Fairest
1st: Ellie Blackburn (97 votes)
2nd: Rylie Wilcox (72)
3rd: Isabelle Pritchard (69)
4th: Alice Edmonds (66)
5th: Britney Gutknecht (57)
6th: Jess Fitzgerald (55)
7th: Elle Bennetts (44)
8th: Sarah Hartwig (40)
9th: Elaine Grigg (37)
10th: Emma McDonald (35)

Blackburn wins her 6th, and the miracle for the Dogs this year is she hasn't requested a trade out of there yet. Wouldn't be entirely incorrect to say Robert Murphy can take some credit for that. The coach on the other hand, jfc.

Wilcox runner-up for the 2nd year in a row. Another Fitzroy flyer (who has nothing to do with Brisbane) on the podium, following McKenzie last night and preceding Riddell... plus, who knows, maybe Guerin tomorrow too.

EDIT: 6th to 10th now added, after I shamed them into releasing.

2025 Hawthorn AFLW Best and Fairest Top 10
1 – Áine McDonagh (63)
2 – Eliza West (62)
3 – Lucy Wales (57)
4 – Tilly Lucas-Rodd (53)
5 – Emily Everist (41)
6 – Jenna Richardson (29)
7 – Jasmine Fleming (27)
8 – Emily Bates (25)
=9 – Laura Elliott (24)
=9 – Laura Stone (24)

After 9 seasons of zero Irish B&F winners, McDonagh makes it 2 in a matter of days, following Aisling McCarthy's breakthrough victory last week.

Glowing endorsement of Lucy Wales' season to finish in 3rd place, and not at all far off from 1st, despite missing 5 games.

Tilly Lucas-Rodd finished 4th for the 3rd year in a row.

8th for Emily Bates 'beats' her previous personal low of 6th (2018 and 2021), having missed 6 games.

2025 Essendon AFLW Best & Fairest
1. Georgia Nanscawen – 137 votes
=2. Maddy Prespakis – 116 votes
=2. Amy Gaylor – 116 votes
4. Bonnie Toogood – 97 votes
5. Steph Cain – 96 votes
6. Georgia Gee – 88 votes
7. Chloe Adams – 87 votes
8. Alex Morcom – 85 votes
9. Georgia Clarke – 80 votes
10. Steph Wales – 78 votes

Nanscawen joins the eponymous Daisy Pearce to have won both the Lambert–Pearce Medal and an AFLW Club Best & Fairest.

Stephanie Wales has had 4 seasons in the comp and finished 7th, 3rd, 4th and 10th while throwing a knee reco in there.

2025 Carlton AFLW Best & Fairest
1st: Dayna Finn (125)
2nd: Harriet Cordner (109)
3rd: Erone Fitzpatrick (103)
=4th: Poppy Scholz (94)
=4th: Maddy Hendrie (94)
6th: Sophie McKay (93)
7th: Abbie McKay (89)
8th: Keeley Sherar (88)
9th: Mimi Hill (80)
=10th: Lily Goss (75)
=10th: Breann Harrington (75)
=10th: Ciara Fitzgerald (75)

This is just the 2nd time a club's top 6 hasn't featured a player from the previous year's top 6. The first time was West Coast 2021. There isn't even another instance of it only happening with a top 5.

Finn becomes the third Irish player to win a B&F, pfft the novelty has worn off. But hang on! It is the first time 2 Irish players have finished top 3.

There is, however, one previous instance of 3 Irish players featuring in a top 4. And how about that, it was West Coast 2021 (McCarthy 2nd and the Kelly sisters were equal 4th).

2025 North Melbourne AFLW Best & Fairest
1st: Ash Riddell (238)
2nd: Jasmine Garner (217)
3rd: Libby Birch (174)
4th: Amy Smith (168)
5th: Erika O'Shea (165)
6th: Ruby Tripodi (163)
7th: Blaithin Bogue (151)
8th: Kim Rennie (150)
9th: Jasmine Ferguson (149)
10th: Tess Craven (142)

Riddell and Garner share the top 2 for the 5th season in a row. Both top 3 for the 7th season in a row.

Libby Birch's previous highest finish in a B&F count was 5th, achieved on four occasions. She has now finished top 5 at all 3 of her clubs.

Tahlia Randall finished 11th with 141 votes. It's not everyday an All-Australian misses the top 10, but when it does happen, it's usually a Brisbane forward (Taylor Smith last year, Bodey & Wardlaw in 2022 S7, Kate McCarthy in 2017) rather than a former Brisbane defender slash current North forward.

St Kilda 2025 AFLW Best and Fairest
1. Tyanna Smith (42)
2. Serene Watson (38)
3. Jesse Wardlaw (37)
4. Georgia Patrikios (35)
=5. Alice Burke (34)
=5. Paige Trudgeon (34)
7. Nicola Stevens (32)
8. Jaimee Lambert (30)
9. Hannah Priest (28)
10. Ella Friend (27)

A long time coming for Smith, who finished 2nd in 2021 (her debut season), then missed both 2022 seasons with a knee, came 2nd in 2023 and 3rd in 2024.

This was Jaimee Lambert's lowest placing since finishing 11th for the Bulldogs in 2017. Hadn't dropped below 4th during the 8 seasons in between.

5th time from 7 seasons Hannah Priest has ended up in the 7-10 range. Not too dissimilar to Kim Rennie who just finished in the 8-10 range for the 6th time in 8 seasons (across WB and NM).

Collingwood 2025 AFLW Best & Fairest
1st: Brittany Bonnici (181)
2nd: Tarni White (122)
3rd: Lucy Cronin (77)
4th: Ash Centra (62)
5th: Imogen Barnett (57)
6th: Airlie Runnalls (51)
7th: Sarah Rowe (46)
8th: Ruby Schleicher (20)
9th: Amber Schutte (18)
10th: Violet Patterson (16)

Some surprising things there.

2025 Sydney Swans AFLW Club Champion
  1. Laura Gardiner (279 points)
  2. Tanya Kennedy (231 points)
  3. Montana Ham (230 points)
  4. Zippy Fish (217 points)
  5. Chloe Molloy (160 points)
  6. Alice Mitchell (136 points)
  7. Lucy McEvoy (130 points)
  8. Ally Morphett (118 points)
  9. Cynthia Hamilton (101 points)
  10. Lara Hausegger (96 points)

Quite tight from 2nd to 4th, and pro-rata-ing Molloy to 12 games would've had her finishing only 4 votes behind Fish.

2025 Adelaide AFLW Best & Fairest
1st: Ebony Marinoff (334)
2nd: Chelsea Biddell (285)
3rd: Anne Hatchard (279)
4th: Sarah Goodwin (274)
5th: Niamh Kelly (255)
6th: Maddi Newman (251)
=7th: Eloise Jones (236)
=7th: Zoe Prowse (236)
9th: Sarah Allan (231)
10th: Grace Kelly (222)

Marinoff's 3rd win in a row, 4th in total. And her 10th time in the top 3, which has not been achieved by another player.

The duo of Hatchard-Marinoff also continue their unmatched streak of finishing top 3 together since 2019.

Biddell's 5th-consecutive top 5 finish, along with beating her previous PB of 3rd in 2022 S7.

2025 Brisbane AFLW Best & Fairest
1st: Belle Dawes (226)
2nd: Ally Anderson (218)
3rd: Jade Ellenger (215)
4th: Tahlia Hickie (204)
5th: Courtney Hodder (202)
=6th: Jennifer Dunne (194)
=6th: Orla O'Dwyer (194)
8th: Charlie Mullins (189)
9th: Sophie Conway (187)
10th: Shannon Campbell (180)

A switcheroo from the 1-2 placings of the past 2 seasons.

Probably the shortest top 3 we've seen to date, and it was a mere three votes away from surely being the shortest top 4 ever.

Think it's highly plausible Anderson was leading the count at the end of the H&A season. This is just the 2nd time Brisbane's B&F hasn't been won by her or Emily Bates (first was in 2018 by Kate Lutkins).

Fair to say Shannon Campbell managing to equal her highest finish (also came 10th in 2019 and 2020) is a bit of a headscratcher.

2025 Daisy Pearce Trophy – Top 10
1st: Kate Hore – 117 votes
2nd: Tyla Hanks – 108 votes
3rd: Eliza McNamara – 88 votes
4th: Megan Fitzsimon – 87 votes
5th: Maeve Chaplin – 84 votes
6th: Tayla Harris – 81 votes
7th: Shelley Heath – 76 votes
8th: Alyssa Bannan – 75 votes
9th: Saraid Taylor – 72 votes
10th: Lauren Pearce – 71 votes

Hore's 4th win in a row, and also the 4th consecutive season she and Hanks have shared the top 2 spots (or the top 1 spot, in the case of 2023's tie).

From her 9 seasons at the club, Eden Zanker managed just 3 top 10 finishes (7th in 2020, 6th in 2021, 6th in 2023).

And that concludes another awards season.
