Presuming Pearce is 100% fit, are there any on here that would prefer OMac over Cox?

No, outside specifically Sydney for some reason, Cox has been very good. OMac is nice depth, IMO, that is all.Presuming Pearce is 100% fit, are there any on here that would prefer OMac over Cox?
This is probably harsh but whenever McDonald has the ball it takes me back to the Zac Dawson days. No, outside specifically Sydney for some reason, Cox has been very good. OMac is nice depth, IMO, that is all.
As long as he plays to his strengths and doesn't bite too much off, he is still worth having in the team. Do we want him distributing out of the backline? Hell no, we have Clackers, Cool Hand Luke and Coops to play that role. Do we want him fisting the ball away from opposition talls? Absolutely. This is probably harsh but whenever McDonald has the ball it takes me back to the Zac Dawson days.
Like Dawson he can defend but jeez those two can’t kick. Cox can.

Yep. But there's times where he's in the back pocket by himself and there's nothing on but him. If that's Cox you're not too worried about what happens with the next kick.As long as he plays to his strengths and doesn't bite too much off, he is still worth having in the team. If the choice is between OMac and Cox, then Cox is probably playing, but between OMac and an out of form Davies/Draper, then it is probably OMac.Yep. The initial discussion was McDonald vs Cox.
In terms of guys purely on their list for back up, McDonald stacks up pretty well. He’s not a best 22 defender when Pearce and Cox are on our list. When Draper gets confidence back I also think he's a better overall package even if McDonald does some things better than him.
Did you see Omac kick on the weekend? Genuine heart in the mouth type stuff.Presuming Pearce is 100% fit, are there any on here that would prefer OMac over Cox?
There is no probably about Cox playing over McDonald. It's not even close. If the choice is between OMac and Cox, then Cox is probably playing, but between OMac and an out of form Davies/Draper, then it is probably OMac.
It is great to have both youngsters and experienced players as depth.
McDonald is a very good kick for a key position player. Ive watched him at WAFL level, AFL and training. He's got really good foot skills. Yes he missed a couple of kicks last game in slippery conditions but overall his kicking is very good to excellent.Yep. I watched him play against St Kilda too and several games for Melbourne years ago. Hasn't looked like a good kick at all.McDonald is a very good kick for a key position player. McDonald's a very good depth player but Cox is a far better mark and overall a better player.
