Pick 52 - Liam Hetherton
Pick 52 - Geelong - Liam Hetherton - 197cm - Fwd

Liam is a big guy, with great hands and excellent goal nous. injuries have interupted his year and would be a worthy first round talent IMO if he had a full injury free year, that did not happen however, therefore there will be a sliding scale of opinion on him, but happy to grab him here for the cats to hopefully strengthen up the forward line of the future.

Pick 54 - Hawthorn - Koby Coulson
I suspect that the Suns will have to pass on Koby due to points deficit, plus they've invested two picks in midfielders already. He's a solid option at this point in the draft, but the Suns will pass.
No worries, at least two other clubs will thank you in the process because they were next ;)

Happy for the Hawks to take Coulson at this point (and it's not unrealistic given the Suns will have to lose a few). Adds a need on the inside and certainly did his chances no harm at the champs.

Will writeup a bit later, roos_fanatic08 is up for now.

Pick 55 - North Melbourne - Finnegan Davis
Pick 55 - North Melbourne - Finnegan Davis - 188cm General Defender

Depth across half back remains an issue for North, and even though I took Dahlitz with our previous pick, it still makes sense to take Davis if he is available. Davis is an accumulating tall and rangy rebounder who's game is defined by his link up play. For the most part he uses the ball well, but often reverts to shorter kicks, rather than the attacking longer options, despite being a penetrating kick. While his offensive game is evident, he needs to work on his one on one work. He only got a late call up to the champs, but his form in the Coates League has been super consistent which highlights his high level potential.

Considered all others who were left on my board including Ah-Mu, Wright, Kellaway, Niklaus and mature ager Harry Scott.

goodcop badcop you are up!

Pick 57 - Port Adelaide - Felix Kneipp
Pick 57 Port Adelaide - Felix Kneipp (179cm mid/def from Vic Metro)

I was actually going to pick Peucker here, but I’ll find a plan B. And it’s Kneipp, who has missed the majority of the season through injury.

From the little I’ve seen, he looks a solid prospect. Can win his own ball and also play as a defensive mid, otherwise could see him being developed in the back half. Good ball use, runs well.

Pick 58 - Fremantle - Toby Whan
Brisbane will bid on Toby Whan, unless I missed him being bid on earlier. Chris25 do Freo match?

Yep. Will match. Was hoping he’d keep on slipping, but he’s good value here regardless.

Pick 58 Fremantle - Toby Whan (184cm def/mid from Western Australia)

Dominant at Colts level in the WAFL, he was solid at the Champs without necessarily starring. But still, there’s a lot of optimism around him on the Fremantle board.

As good as some of his midfield work has been in the Colts, I suspect he plays at half back at the higher levels. He’s got a powerful boot on him, and it’s most effective in space.

If my last pick wasn’t swallowed up with this bid, I probably would have taken a shot on a young ruck like 208cm Caleb May from West Adelaide or 203cm Alex van Wyk from North Adelaide.
