The conditions made the time slow but don't see many riders putting 10 seconds into everybody on that finish. LBL looking like a 2 horse race, be interesting to see the tactic of where to attack because Remco can chase him down on that terrain. UAE might need some numbers up the road to help out.

I'm not counting Healy out in it either (or, well, he's my pick for bronze). Vauquelin is very impressive, I bet there are 20 teams trying to convince him that they're the best choice for him if Arkea disbands. He'd fill AG2R's Ben O'Connor hole very well IMO.

This is actually a pretty strong break with Haig and Sepulveda. Obviously Pogi is still the big favourite but if those two are on a good day they could be dangerous.

Did anyone else notice the dark grey van which pulled out onto the road, between the referee's car and the breakaway, as they drove through one of the villages (Vielsalm)?

The car drove in front of the breakaway for a few hundred metres, before pulling off to the right.

I don't think it was an intentional attempt to disrupt the race - I just think they forgot that the road was closed, and pulled off as soon as they saw the policeman on the motorbike signalling to them to GTF off the road.

The SBS commentators completely missed it. I wonder if there will be any ramifications for the race organisers?

Agreed. I liked the move from Quickstep at the top of the final climb but both teams played it well. Bling nailed the sprint
