2025 Coaching Thread

No disrespect to the players recruited but I’m not convinced picking up reserves players from Balwyn will make a huge difference. Will help with depth though

I totally agree, I would hold fire until the next announcement on the recruits though. I will add I am more positive about the players who had season-ending injuries coming back fit and well. Sure every team gets injuries and in saying that the Rams had basically a team out injured all year. Without being negative about the last Coach, Justin is the complete opposite which will make a difference. Anyway, time will tell. I know one practice match has already been locked in with Whitlesea (Date TBC) against his old Senior Montmorency Coach Gary Ramsey who now coaches them.

Interestingly both UFTG and FTG are very confident of acquiring the services of Mooroolbark coach Bret Lavars. There is also a belief that many players will follow him wherever he lands.

Won’t be coaching either of those clubs.
