Alright screw it, making an executive decision.

For the purposes of stamp distribution, a 'complete' team has the following:

• 22 players averaging 85+
• One player (can be Flex, F6, D6, M8 or R2) averaging whatever.

You can still post your completed incomplete team in this thread, but expect a barrage of red stamps in reply.

Claiming a complete team with anything less than 23 premo's is woke nonsense.

AB would be turning in his grave seeing a team with a bubble rookie on field deemed complete.

Just to settle the argument before it starts Pedlar is Premo for anyone wanting that 23rd player

There’s a really good chance I won’t be posting my team here this year.

9 trades left, barely any cash gen and still have to upgrade Pou and Pedlar in the forwardline.

Notable mistakes
Starting Short
Not starting Sniff
Trading in Sam De Koning just to trade him out after a few games.
Trading in Freijah then trading him out after a few games.
Not starting TDK then trading him into flex was a mistake.
Serong and Cripps weren’t exactly great starting picks at there price.

Trading out Horny and Macrae and going hard for Bont before his bye might’ve cooked my team a bit.

Going to have to be very smart on the run home.

Can't please everyone. Personally, think a true completed team should be:

DEF: Six players over 90
MID: Eight players over 100
RUC: Two players over 100
FWD: Six players over 90
Flex: Whatever

But that'd be making it a bit too hard for a lot of people, and I really can't be bothered with the arguments that would ensue.

FWIW: My lowest averaging keeper is Daniel (93.8) – I have F6 and Flex left to upgrade and won't be considering my team 'complete' until they're filled with two of Butters, JHF, Darcy, or maybe another.

Have no problem with players like Caldwell being named as keepers, though. Take away the two games coming back from injury where he was clearly hampered and had low TOG, and he's averaging 114.6

If you are not happy with a FLEX score in the 40-60's to cover an unforseen Sub/Injury, then how can your team be "Complete"?

Let's take a look at the equation a few would be exploring this week:

Bont and finishing with a rookie in flex (~$750k total value): say Bont goes at 125 from here, you're looking at 1,500 on-field points for ROS (not including potential captaincy scores etc).

Caldwell and another premo in flex later ($950k-1 mil total value and an extra trade used): Say Caldwell goes at 100 from here, you're looking at 1,100 points on-field. Factoring in that the likely benefit of having a premo flex is ~50 extra points when it is used (instead of a rookie/injury/mare score), you'd need to be using the flex/23rd eight times over the rest of the season for it to be worth it, and that's not factoring in the extra trade/s you would need to get a 23rd premo.

Now, there'll be some players that get Bont this week and still end up with a premo flex later (which I'm trying to do), but there will be plenty that don't.

If it's a choice, I think getting the best 22 possible and then worrying about a 23rd later on is the way to go about it this year, rather than compromising on top-liners in order to fill out the full 23 slots.

Yeah I will never sideways due to lack of form... however looking at my last 4 trades have been somewhat sideways due to INJURY... would probably have held Macrae, JHF and maybe Finn if I wasn't currently ranked so high:
