Not until Murray proves he is match fit.
Was rushed back to early & played injured which led to him missing most of the season so far.
No rush, as we need him right for the business end of the season.
The decision not to put Welsh on ice and have a look at the MSD is just stupidity.
I'm with this.
Bottom line is Butts doesn't get many goals kicked on him. His return to the team also seems to have coincided with a significant uptick in Keane's form. I'd say our backlines has been better with Butts in the side than when Murray was.
Is that the reason? I don't know, but I wouldn't be rushing Murray back, even though I think he is a superior player.

I think Murray will return to AFL after the bye. The coaches clearly see him ahead of Butts. Heck, earlier this season Butts was behind Borlase as well.

I think that was more to do with Butts having a managed pre-season after surgery on a lisfranc foot injury and more a fitness thing.

But we have people that do.
Bottom line is we are super conservative. There must be some people out there that are worth looking at. A rangy, developing key forward? Have a look for 6 months and see?
Regardless, I hope we are smart with Welsh. No point him coming back half fit. Send him to fitness camp in America. Send someone with him. Whatever it takes. Get him super fit and we will see then (next year) if he has what it takes.
Given how we’ve usually done at the MSD, I’m not gonna go crazy over us not taking a pick (like 9 other clubs btw)

Only player I would have been really keen on was running metres gained defender 189cm Tom McCarthy who rightfully went at pick 1.
3 days later first up for his new club he's close to best on for West Coast WAFL.
Harry Barnett still struggling by the look.

I feel an SANFL game is a nice way to return. It’s not like we have to rush him back at the moment
At the start of the year would have told you that Nurray was one of our most important players in terms of results. Real credit to Butts and Keane in terms of how well they've held down the fort during his injury.
They’ve been incredibly solid, Keane especially. Butts will be very unlucky to go out, you’d think he’d be best 22 at many other clubs
not sure they have enough KPF to play him (or Butts) anyway

I've no doubt they'd love somebody of DB's caliber after their horrific run this season.
