With Darcy's injury, unless it's less severe than we think, we'll have two spots in the MSD. I wonder if we take a ruck (Crossley and Keogh are both around the mark) and push English forward to help cover Darcy? Would also look at the best crumbing small forwards on offer.
Another key defender to allow Lobb to go forward?

Hunter Holmes sounds like he has attributes we would be interested in 187cm goal kicking wingman. Brother of Max.
Sounds promising, but dang that Bulldog brother curse...

Understanding at this stage, it’s a complete pipe dream that he would be available near our pick but I think we need to be all in on nabbing W. Duursma. Would be the perfect player to come in & play a variety of outside roles for a couple of seasons then push into midfield.

Also never fear the brother cruse with this one - He’ll be by far the best of the brothers. Hands down.

I agree. Another likely somewhat more realistic name is Josh Lindsay could follow the Richards and Freijah trajectory from half back to midfield.

Considering we have a lot of club tied prospects next year, I wonder if we’ll consider trading our 2026 first into this year. We are building an exciting group of young talent, if we can bring in a couple more top talent with this group, we will be very well placed long term.

Wasn’t the AFL going to change the rules to stop clubs using bundles of late picks to match bids on premium players?

Then there is Will Darcy, the younger brother of Western Bulldogs star Sam and son of Dogs legend Luke.
SURPRISE PACKETS
Darcy is viewed internally as a major draft smokey. Not on a Coates Talent League list, Darcy is draft eligible this year and is athletic key defender who is great in the air and at ground level. Sam rocketed up draft board in his 18th year and don’t be surprised to see Will get the attention of recruiters in he APS.

I can think of one who got picked up from school footy and local ammos, Oliver Sestan at Melbourne. Obviously Darcy has the name though and I'm sure there'll be lots of eyes on him.
Andrew Mackie and Will Minson were both playing school footy in SA. I think Minson may have played 1 game for Norwood, perhaps. I remember when we drafted him there was no write up, no photo and his height was listed as 185cm.
