Any decent kpd in the draft?

Possibly more likely a state league player in the PSD?
MSD Zac Walker & Will Darcy to be added to JoD and Busslinger. Do we need to add more?

Neither do I.

JOD, Busslinger & Darcy are all developing key defenders (& potentially Croft).
The only one of interest to me would be Thredgold who is looking like being a genuine lockdown defender. Otherwise I'd prefer a ready made type who can cover until what we have in Croft, Buss, Walker and W.Darcy are ready.
Although he isn’t the answer I feel better about our depth with the retention of Khamis, atleast we will have someone other the Gardner able to cover in 2025 should there be an injury.

Port Adelaide & West Coast -
Melbourne & St Kilda -
Collingwood & Essendon -
Sydney & Hawthorn-

GWS & Geelong -
Dockers & Dogs -
North & Carlton -
Richmond & Adelaide

Brisbane/Suns taken by me because they’ll be taking their academy players and wouldn’t be interesting for anyone

Decided to merge some of the picks for one person & closer to draft night we can change it up based on how this one goes.

Who of these four, when fully developed (say age 24-25) will present as a strong one-on-one KPD?

Possibly O'Donnell? Croft? It's hard to know. None of them are sure to develop that way on current trends.

So if we think Thredgold is a genuine candidate for that role I'd be happy to see him on the list.

by then, Bont, treloar, libba all gone :(

We need to continue planning for all roles. Including for things like defenders, which we seemed to overlook until it became a crisis.

Life doesn't end when Bont retires. It'll just be different. So we need to plan for a post-Bont midfield too.

From listening to Regan sounds like we’ll be prioritising that speed / endurance mix with our picks (as we suspected).

Think Barker really fits that description, is hard running & notched up a 2.86 for 20m in pre-season testing. (Would’ve placed him second behind Oscar Taylor at the combine also would’ve been top 10 for agility & standing vertical jump).

Grlj - the best burst / handball receive mid in the draft (to the eyeball at least). We'd have to move up to grab him though.

Jevan Phillipou also sounds like an explosive athlete, has some good tools to work with as a MID / FWD.
Yes, except for our dud brother curse.

Employing Luke now and combining the brother's Power has therefore broken this forsaken curse.
Now we just need to find jobs for Rawlings, Sexton, Jackovich, Talia...

I like Grlj, Farrow or Dovaston with our 1st. Assuming Lindsay and X Taylor are gone, likely Grlj gone too but a chance he drops. Thredgold is intriguing at 33, but if we are grabbing Darcy also is that too many developing tall backs in place of other needs?

I know even less about draft prospects than I do most things. But if this description is accurate he fits into Regans statement today that we are going to prioritise speedy run and carry types and at least one developing tall. Who I took to mean Will Darcy. Where this leaves this boards crush Lachy Dovastan I know not.
