I'm guessing our second pick will be a kid hardly anybody has talked about. Sometimes they turn out ok - Gallagher & Cleary as late picks are probably ahead of the curve.
Krasnadamskis (great name by the way) links are hard to ignore. Not sure how pressing our need for another developing tall is but clearly has upside.

Dolan was also a bit of a surprise if I remember correctly, don’t recall him being that high on any mocks leading into draft night. Definitely a bit of a theme.

Given our pick will still land in the late 20s I think it’s too valuable to risk on a real unknown type. Especially since we won’t be drafting early for the next 2-3 years if we land Butters, so I really hope we don’t waste it.

Really keen on Kras. Hope we pull the trigger on him. As you mentioned we may not have an early selection for alittle while & quality tall talent normally go early so I think it’ll be smart to grab Kras & Will Darcy this year.

If we do end up handing over a few firsts for butters it’s going to mostly line up with the the Tassie incoming drafts, that will be compromised at the top end anyway & next year we have NGA / F/S prospects that are looking promising so we’ll still be getting talent in.

Will have to get creative to land all our tied father sons and NGA. That keeps the quality kids coming in despite a possible Butters injection

In the Mock draft i participated in I traded out our first for Saints F1 and our Second for Melbourne's F2 via the Suns.
I then drafted Avery Thomas with pick 52 (which came into the 40s) I then traded out our FF4 for pick 51 and drafted the K-Man before taking Darcy in the rookie draft.
3 pretty handy players whilst going into 2026 with 2 firsts, 2 seconds and a third.

Hopefully Marial, Cooney and West have big years. Not necessarily convinced Cooney is a draftable prospect as it stands but had a tough run with injury this year.

More hopeful on Marial and West.

El Souki is the jewel in the crown. Wish he was available this year.

I like it ✅
Thinking Kras will bolt up the order, so may need to go earlier on him.

I’ve really come around to Ainsworth aswell.

Cooney looked like a talent a few years ago, hopefully he can put the injuries behind him but not go too well…
Seems a good size already for a midfielder, likely 190cm mark.

Just watched the Zero Hanger interview on YouTube with Marcus Krasnadamskis. Seems like a really driven & honest individual. Pretty impressive. Speaks well.

Also, looked to have really broad shoulders, will be absolutely huge once he fills out.

Interesting to note that he previously hasn’t played much ruck. Has played everywhere else including wing/mid as a junior.

Nothing to do with us

Not quite true.

Carlton trading both picks out means that their picks won’t be swallowed up by a Dean bid. Instead they will be live selections from the open pool.

Ideally Carlton would’ve kept 9 so that it was used up, or traded back to 13 with wce which would’ve been swallowed up as well.

Basically pushes your (and our and others’) pick down a spot or two.

How does Norf get pick 11 for that
Would need to include atleast another second or points equivalent you'd think. It does say as key parts though so who knows what the extras are. You'd have to assume though the rest is heavily in the Blues favour.

If Essendon get pick 9 I expect they'll use that to get pick 2. Also makes it harder for gold coast to find a trade for 15 if dons and north trade with the blues.

Rumoured they were trying to get pick 1 for the other Duursma. I think they should get pick 2 and take Robey instead.

At least it'll also bring our second pick (33) forward

Pick 11 pushed back but bids from before pick 25 will be used for top 10 selections, so presumably North are crap again next year and their 2nd rounder is early and therefore an early pick in the 20s

Pick 25 and 23 or similar is not a mile off pick 12 or 13 in value.

If Darcy gets through to the rookie draft does he become a CAT B singing because we nominated him?
Pretty sure Cat B is reserved for people who have not played AFL at any level for two years. So Darcy will just be your standard rookie.
