As things stand currently I think it's a strong possibility. If he isn't there Rozenes would have to be heavily considered, whilst he isn't as clean as Raso his defensive work may be better.Do you think he will last until our pick

Given the news on Cody what chance we put him on the LTI list to get an extra list spot and second MSD pick? With Cody Weightman injury set back

When you run through the list and consider the list space we must have, Sam Power is doing an outrageously good job.
That is my general feel too I'm regards to Raso. It is why I think we will try to fill out our ruck stocks considering we only have two genuine first rucks on the list and were looking at that sort of player in the draft and bringing Crossley on during the preseason.Raso looks like a Honeychurch/Cavarra type. I know it's only the mid season draft, but I kinda want us to aim a bit higher.

My order of preference wouldI wouldn't be against it. It's pretty evident int the VFL we really have no big guys contesting up forward.
I'm probably more leaning towards getting a developing player like a Rod Ali then a mature age forward or ruck. We are pretty much 3 list spots down with Jamarra, Weightmen and then the empty list spot.
My order of preference would
- half back/small defender
- key defender
- Small/Medium forward
- Key forward/Ruck
Jones on his last legs, Lobb shifting around the ground, Buss still unproven and Buku playing as a swingman, gradner looking like staying in the twos. Apart from JOD who looks to have found some stability everyone else is somewhat up in the air.Not sure I see a need for a key defender. Could you expand?
Wait for the draft haven't seen any KPDs worth it in the state comps or 19yos in the NAB league.Jones on his last legs, Lobb shifting around the ground, Buss still unproven and Buku playing as a swingman, gradner looking like staying in the twos. In the VFL today with Buss emergency and Jones injured we have Gardner and Coffield playing as our two defenders which I'd argue is why we're playing this strange defensive set up and ugly football potentially hindering others development.
Long story short we have ample key defenders but they're a mix of too old, not playing as defenders, not good enough or unproven.
Can't see Jones Being at the dogs next year and don't see a way Gardner plays seniors again.
My preference was more as a final split if two players are ranked equally. I certainly wouldn't grab an undeserving key defender just to fill a spot if there was someone more likey to make the grade still available regardless of position. The only two key defenders I like in the MSD are McCartin and Cole.Wait for the draft haven't seen any KPDs worth it in the state comps or 19yos in the NAB league.

I'm definetly confident long term, it's only the next 18 months where I'm concerned.I still think we are in a good spot in the short term and long term. Lobb in AA form, JOD looking very good, Busslinger getting there (although i don't see A grade potential), Gardner and Khamis as backup. Croft could end up anywhere, I like to see him given more a go down back. Another Darcy coming through the next draft by the look of it. Yes, Jones is a worry, I don't think we are too bad overall though.
Yeah we're likely taking Will Darcy in the main draft as a project KPF, so it becomes less of a priority for the MSD.Wait for the draft haven't seen any KPDs worth it in the state comps or 19yos in the NAB league.
Your guys really like both Raso and Tom McCarthy. Unlikely that they make it to your selection though, McCarthy in particular. With [PLAYERCARD]Cody Weightman[/PLAYERCARD] injury set back
