Tom Burton could be an Ash McGrath type, only we don't need to blow pick 1 on him.
I do have a soft spot for Jets boys though and like to see them get an opportunity
He has no trouble getting the ball, would like him to be more damaging though.

If we traded out our first pick and instead made a selection in the early second round Rhylee McHenry ticks all the boxes for me.
He plays alot of time in the midfield for the Devils but I'd imagine he lines up as a small forward for the Allies. He reminds me of a faster version of West, a tough, combative small who is capable well above his height.

Now turning my attention to the end of year drafts, I think it's increasingly likely we only take one pick from the open pool (ideally a small forward).
Our other pick in the National draft likely goes to matching a bid on Will Darcy before we move O'Donnell to the main list as our third mandated addition to the main list.
Does JOD have to be upgraded?

I’ve got my eye on Harley Barker, winger out of SA. Should be around that second round range

My mail is that we're heavily invested in trading in players this year, so makes sense we'll only target one unknown and use the rest on father/sons

Our position the last few years has always been focused on targeting players via trade and only going to the draft if we can't get something across the line. I love this aggressive approach and whilst it hasn't panned out in terms of high profile recruits it has us in a good position list wise.

will second Finn Davis he is a good kid - definitely fits the Bevo "no DH policy"
Aren’t we stocked up enough on small-medium sized defenders though?

Jaques, Walker, Sellwood, Dale, JJ, Duryea, Bramble, Khamis (swingman), Gallagher,Coffield, Williams, Cleary plus utilities and midfielders who could also fill that role like Freijah and Scott. That’s nearly a third of our list.

I can see JJ Duryea and Scott retiring or getting delisted. It’s still a lot of list capital in one area.

I'd say Coffield likely to go too with Bramble becoming depth and Bramble finding a new position.

It makes sense. We have a fair few father sons & NGA possibly available to us over the net couple of years to continue to replenish our young talent.

I assume the strategy would be to be contending over the next 3-5 years whilst the draft is heavily compromised with both the upcoming academy selections and then the Tassie integration.

We've also picked up some third round gems in the past couple of years so having another couple of selections on this range is attractive too.

Finn Davis is giving me Freijah vibes. Similar builds, great run & carry. Davis playing more defence for Western Jets but is also seen further up the ground at times.
Seems to have a lot of attributes that could flourish in an elite environment.

Hope we’re into him. Someone mentioned he’s a dogs supporter too. Nice bonus.

Whilst on guys like Friejah the player I'd liken most to him from my viewing is Stingray's Callum Smith, 189cm balanced mid capable of the tough stuff.

If we keep our first pick in the draft, us fans need to keep a close watch on Jacob Farrow 188cm balanced defender out of WA. He is certainly leading the race for that pick internally at this stage.
West Australian Bulldogs might become real

He was talked about today on Gettable Cal Twomey said Jacob is rising fast
