Rumours are Max is not much liked within the club. Wouldn't be surprised if he leaves the cats himself.Wouldn’t even bother drafting Holmes if he turns out to be any good you know he’d leave for Geelong in a few years for peanuts anyway

Rivals have linked us to Dovaston watch him get taken before our pickWas about to post that myself. Some of the pick choices are straight weird for some clubs. Like Annable at 10 and Hawks taking Greeves.

He did it in early July.Anyone know when Harley Baker did the ACL? Sounds like later in the year, August ish? Not that it matters, if we like him it's for long term anyway, but imagine whoever picks Baker won't see him until closer to mid year maybe.

Anything is possible and it depends greatly on how his recovery is tracking. Hopefully it doesn't restrict his athleticism, some see minimal change and others drastic.Ah ok so will be limited over pre-season but could see him within the first few months of VFL season then potentially...
I think Will Darcy is more like throwing poo at the wall to see if it sticks. Doubt the club would be basing our future stocks on him considering he looks miles off.I just can't see us taking 2 KPDs this draft after grabbing a KPD in the MSD last year and our public comments about speed & endurance. I suspect we're going for runners with our first two picks and we may leave a list spot open if Will Darcy somehow slips to the rookie draft.
Nobody is suggesting that though.I think Will Darcy is more like throwing poo at the wall to see if it sticks. Doubt the club would be basing our future stocks on him considering he looks miles off.
I believe the speed and endurance call will go out the window if Lindsay is available.Nobody is suggesting that though.
We've taken a few KPDs, and Sam Power has said we're looking for a speed/endurance mix at our picks this year.
Agree, I’d be surprised if we pick anyone other than Oskar Taylor.Nobody is suggesting that though.

From that article, I like the sound of their pick for us -> the best distributer in the draft? Im a sucker for precise disposal. OTOH, I suppose if you have other weaknesses to your game, maybe its not worth it - Daniel in his prime was great at hitting 30m targets by foot, but was not a complete player.
Questions on his contested game, ability to play more than one position and defensive ability. I rather avoid one dimensional players, no matter how good a boot they have. Which is why I'd prefer Taylor more than Lindsay. From that article, I like the sound of their pick for us -> the best distributer in the draft? Im a sucker for precise disposal. I suppose it's the risk you take in the draft. For every Dale, there are a fair few that are unable to fix their weaknesses.I guess Dale is an example of someone who worked on his flaws enough to be a great player. But he is quick, which helps a lot.
OTOH high footy IQ and great disposal is something you either have or you dont.
The other Dale (Morris) says hi. In a 253 game career he only ever got 1 Brownlow vote despite also being an AA player and arguably as good as - or better than - his namesake....
On a side note. I just noticed that Dale has only ever gotten 5 Brownlow votes all his career? Despite some massive games. That's stiff as.
Morris was second in our B&F in 2016, he wears that as a badge of honour. The other Dale (Morris) says hi. In a 253 game career he only ever got 1 Brownlow vote despite also being an AA player and arguably as good as - or better than - his namesake.
That one vote was for an 11 disposal effort against St Kilda in 2008. I think it must have been heavily influenced by one of those old school umpires who didn't just give the votes to whoever got the most disposals.
It's hard to believe I know, but back then some people used to think that there was more to being best on ground than getting the most disposals.
Will DarcyI feel like we have to take someone with the Jamarra pick. It's almost valueless but emotionally we need to invest in someone we take with the pick.
If there is noone left we want then I'd rather we do this instead of leaving it to the rookie draft. Will Darcy
