I just listened to the Code Sports mock draft, I didn’t take any notice of who goes where but some good insight in to the players.

Noah Hibbens-Hargreaves once kicked 20 goals in an under 17 game when he was only 14. Thats bloody impressive, I don’t care what the standard was.

He is a real mercurial type, he could do nothing one week but the win you a big final the next. Some of those goals against WA are outrageous.

We don't tend to go for that type of player but he would certainly give us something different. Id be shocked if we picked him but could he be anything, I wouldn't be against it.

Just hope he doesn't end up at Cats or Hawks

Bulldogs supporter too IIRC.
Had a blinder of a quarter during over if the champs games (3 or 4 goals).

I'm not sure we take him given we've said we want endurance types and he didn't test at the combine.

Yes he is a dogs supporter.
He was injured during pre season testing aswell so hasn't had any formal testing at all this year. The view is though that his athletic profile has never been an issue. If he had a clear run at it this year he likely could have pushed for top 10 selection. Whether his body ever lets him get a sustained run at things will be the biggest question.

3 weeks until the draft…
Please come as quickly as this year has gone. I’m ready & still very keen on Barker.

Cameron Nairn is one I wouldn't be surprised to see be taken in the 20's somewhere who had an absolute blinder at this year's champs. Great 1v1, left foot is lethal and has elite running ability.

Thoughts on Nairn’s potential midfield scope? Seemed to have played higher up on a wing at times.

He naturally works really high up the ground as a forward and has had some 30 disposal games in the SANFL U18's from my understanding so I'd say he would have the scope to be a wingman, definitely has the tank for it. Love his kicking from what I've been able to find, that left boot is a laser.

A decent show of how high he gets up the ground. Quite a few touches on the half back line in this video

The kick on him was good viewing. Would fit in well to our set up. Leadership qualities also a tick as he seemed to be captain for this game.

We seem to be linked in the media (FOX sports) with Dovaston, Barker, O.Taylor & Pickett.

And Lindsay but that’s more stating that is his range than our actual interest.

Oskar Taylor is my preference currently. The kid is absolutely lightning quick, reminds me of a young JJ blitzing off half back and is a neat ball user.

I was watching some film of his recently, there was a moment where he turned the ball over and his effort to chase down about 50m was insane, genuinely looked like he was running in fast forward.

Lindsay would certainly be a good consolation prize, not the quickest but far and away the best ball user in the open draft.

I love Dovaston and Farrow but expect both to be off the board by our pick.

Going way to early with the bust call.
Didn’t say he’s a certainty to be a bust, but he seems like he will be (in my opinion).

Judging off his lack of athleticism, speed and contested work rate.

In saying that, the same thing was said about Murphy Reid and was his reason for sliding last year.

Could be a great player but personally I’d much rather a couple of the other options that will hopefully be available. Specifically Oskar Taylor who just looks like an upgrade on Lindsay in every way, bar kick ins.

At some point we have to actually recruit players that are great defenders, not just blokes that rack up disposals at half back. Don’t think Lindsay is what we need.

Agreed. I don't think it's just coaching, we have too many player's across the board with a poor defensive mindset. Lindsay is another one of those.
