There's talk that when O'donnell is added to the main list we will only have room for 2 picks Darcy junior one of them and a spot kept for a rookie or delisted free agent.

We have 3 spots total, whether main list or rookie.

I reckon we go with Taylor if he is still available. However, I did see a document at the whitten oval tour that hada double barrel name and was highlighted and starred.....it was a 2025 draft document.....I tried to focus in and got clocked.

Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves and Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier would be the candidates

For what it’s worth: I’d go Thredgold Blake and Byrne Talor
That’s TB and BT
They are both in our range - ridiculously under rated
Id feel alot better about our off season if we picked up these two, a true number 1 KPD and a crafty x-factor small.

Can see the appeal with NHH. Very classy, proven match winner, co-captain, versatile, late birthday.
Has been very injury ridden so hasn’t been able to test across the last few years.

From the eye test doesn’t look to struggle athletically, so would imagine he is firmly in our sights.

I come in peace.

Some talk of a pick swap between us and the Blues. If they wanted a second rounder to help match an Ison bid, I wonder if we would look at you guys and your 33.

Just a hypothetical:

We give: 48, 64 and F2
You give: 33 and F3

Any interest?

We'd want less picks this year not more.

F2 is appealing - we have lots of father-son and academy picks next year. Plus operation Butters.

Losing 33 would be a bummer though, a lot of exciting players in that range. 48 and 64 might come in a fair way though with bid matching, which improves it. Problem is we already have a couple of late picks that will end up close enough to 48 and 64.

I think we’re only taking two live picks this year, so not sure if we’d want our second rounder to slide so far back. Would run the risk of Will Darcy being bid on before 48.

I saw a random draft that had Xavier Taylor making it to us. I hadn't really thought about that happening but assume we'd swoop with glee if it happened. A tad under sized but so is Wilkie.
My feeling is that both Taylor's and Dovaston are off the board come our pick sadly.

Do any of our ITKs know if we plan to sit put with 14 and 33? Trade our first into next year? Or package both 14 and 33 to try and move up the board and just take a single high pick in this draft?

The next Bont?

Riley Onley
State: Victoria Country
State League Club: Murray Bushrangers
Community Club: Shepparton United
Date of Birth: 30/03/2007
Height: 195cm

A tall midfielder, Onley uses his height and reach to excel around stoppages and has a good burst of speed to break the game open. A powerful player who covers the ground extremely well, he divided his playing time this year between Scotch College, the Murray Bushrangers and Victoria Country. Was at his dominant best in the final two games of the National Championships against the Allies and Victoria Metro, with his bursts through the midfield and ball use superb. Onley averaged 23 disposals (9.8 contested), 4.8 marks and four clearances for Victoria Country to win All Australian honours, as well as being named in the Coates Talent League Team of the Year. A graduate of the Marsh AFL National Academy, he missed testing at the Draft Combine due to hamstring injury.

He doesn’t have as good of a kick or ability to find his way through traffic did as Bontempelli did as a junior.
Think they’re two very different type of players when compared at the same age.
