Taking picks for needs at that stage is a recipe for disaster especially when they're desperate for talent regardless of position. They have 2 picks later on so have them taking a tall and a HB then.
Two of the guys you listed are HBs

Farrow may start there but I wouldn't select him as such, anyone drafting him would be expecting him to move into the midfield as soon as he improves his endurance base. I also wouldn't classify Taylor as a halfback but that may be splitting hairs, I'd have him more as a interceptor/third tall.

I’ve really sold myself on Kras. Hope the link is real from us. Would be good to have another Marcus on the list.

This is my final ever Phantom draft.
In the real thing I image there are lots of pick trades, including by us however for the purposes of this draft I left hypothetical trades out. I took alot of NGA & F/S as final selection because of this when they could likey go as rookies. Carlton go into slight deficit and Suns go into a larger deficit but again this is due to no live trading.
Come draft night i fully expect us to trade out 33 to Blues, Suns or Saints (post Fincher bid).

Loving the Nairn, Kras, Darcy combo for us. Great work!

C4 saying we will draft Oskar Ainsworth. Draft watchers can you tell us much about him ?
A player very much in the Hynes mould out of Williamstown/Western Jets. He would be a better chance in the rookie draft I'd imagine, but is a prospect I have kept a pretty close eye on all year and have liked.

Interesting. Surely he’s not the bolter smiley was talking about ? Might be a strange selection at our first or second round pick unless we trade one/both into next year and just take later selections.

I’m excited for this draft. No idea which way dogs are gonna go here

I'm assuming he was talking about Nairn or the K-Man.

Seems some of our links have been to medium forward mids, around the 185cm-190cm mark. Maybe we got sick of resting our mids as make shift forwards? Or maybe we want a genuine medium since we really have talls and smalls? I don't mind it. Just had not been the type really discussed on here amongst us, with all the attention on defence and small forwards.

Ainsworth and Nairn aren't genuine Mediums though. Ainsworth is a hybrid Mid-Forward like Kennedy and Hynes and Nairn would ideally role upto a wing, as a more offensive Davidson.

You are one year early on the O'Donnell upgrade to main list mate. He was picked up in 2023 so doesn't have to be off Cat B until the 2026 draft. We'll use the pick in the 50's on a live pick.
He played in 2023 so that is included in his 3 years unfortunately.
