Teams don't bid for the sake of it, they do so if they will legit be happy with it should a team decline. There is no conspiracy that teams bid for no reason just to make teams pay up. We bid on him, because he addresses a need, and was one of the best options left at our pick. We were into Taylor and Lindsay, both also play the same position, but we missed out on. Clearly it was an area we wanted to improve on.

Plenty of comments in 2022 that we only bid on Jasper Fletcher as payback for Dunkley, when clearly he belonged at that pick.

Pretty accurate. Not much wow factor with him, but very consistent and has a good balance between attack and defence. Could see him getting games next year.
