Sounds like we grab Fincher then assess if there is anyone we like left at the end.Saints weighing up whether we take 1 or 2 picks
As someone said earlier, Port a chance to take zero picks and fulfill the quota by upgrading rookies

Bombers, Suns set to dominate draft as record low looms
Between 44 and 57 picks are anticipated at this year's AFL Draftwww.afl.com.au
Going to be a verrrry short draft going by this from Cal.

Hoffman and the lockdown keyback that both passed on didn’t look good enough to me either to warrant a list position.
Fincher on the other hand has something, that 1 VFL game I watched him play was super impressive, playing in the midfield as well.
Tex Wanganeen is, at this stage, just going to be a train on player & needs to impress to get a list spotSo as things stand...
IF we take ONE pick at the National Draft then I believe this is a possible permutation for changes to our list:
Senior: Fincher, Caminiti, Hall
Rookie: Byrnes, rookie draft pick, Wanganeen/SSP, one spot open for the MSD
IF we take TWO picks at the National Draft:
Senior: Fincher, national draft pick, Caminiti
Rookie: Byrnes, Wanganeen/SSP, one spot open for the MSD
I believe so yes but that can change with potential pick tradingSo if he goes 36 or earlier we wont have the points to match ?
I think we go the other way and see who is left after pick 10 and before the Fincher bid.Sounds like we grab Fincher then assess if there is anyone we like left at the end.
Regardless of how impressive he is or isn’t, I would give him a rookie list spot.Tex Wanganeen is, at this stage, just going to be a train on player & needs to impress to get a list spot

Wilke was at least playing footy at a higher level , not some Amo's club , just a little differenceJoey is Jonah Campigli.
Tex wouldn't be the first talented player that 'noone else' wants, noone wanted our probable 2026 captain for 4 years either.
Yeah hence the /SSPTex Wanganeen is, at this stage, just going to be a train on player & needs to impress to get a list spot
Yeah but I reckon one of the delisted boys would be pretty dirty that a stable pony has taken his spot.Yeah hence the /SSP
I don’t rate him but if it meant keeping Nas then don’t mind it
Delisted boy dirty & Nas happy v delisted boy happy & Nas unhappy?Yeah but I reckon one of the delisted boys would be pretty dirty that a stable pony has taken his spot.

I agree but a bit selfish on NAS part stealing a young mans dream just to gift his undeserving cousin a spot.Delisted boy dirty & Nas happy v delisted boy happy & Nas unhappy?
My happiness is tied to Nas’s happiness and if that means el delisto is dirty then I can live with that.
Yeah hence the /SSP

Seems like we picked the right draft to trade out of. The future second for Boxshall is looking fantastic.
Could be our only pick.St Kilda NGA product Kye Fincher is projected to go around the Pick 30-40 range which the Saints are expected to match - Cal Twomey
If that range turns out to be correct, it's another example of why Geelong's last minute offer made zero sense from our perspective since pick 40 would give us nothing we arent already going to get.St Kilda NGA product Kye Fincher is projected to go around the Pick 30-40 range which the Saints are expected to match - Cal Twomey
If we look at it by the numbers. If that range turns out to be correct, it's another example of why Geelong's last minute offer made zero sense from our perspective since pick 40 would give us nothing we arent already going to get.
To bring Fincher in for basically nothing would complete a very successful off season. While he's not a top end talent, he showed something worth developing in that VFL game and thats more then you can say for a lot of this draft pool.
