Kye Fincher with another good game for Brighton on the weekend v Xavier

Kye Fincher (Brighton Grammar)

The Brighton vice-captain and St Kilda NGA prospect had plenty of the footy in the middle and looked a class above with ball in hand. He also created a number of goalscoring opportunities for his side and took territory from further up the ground when he needed to

I hope metro give him a run in the middle

Hi Guys, I haven't posted in here yet this year given uncertainty about where your pick would end up. I'm not completely sure what your list needs are and the type of prospects you'll be targeting, but I imagine this guy will fall around where you'll be and might fit?

----

Ollie Greeves has been mister consistent, finding the footy and impacting the game at every level this year. In his return to talent league footy after an extended break to play in other competitions, Ollie found a stack of the footy as he always does, especially prolific in contested situations displaying his ability to swoop on loose balls and fight through tackles. He presented around the ground as an outlet and was strong in the air, displaying how his extra height for a mid gives him a point of difference. He's started to lay to rest question marks over his kicking efficiency and was again solid in that area here.

Thanks for posting noobermensch what are your thoughts on Sam Grlj would he be around our range?

I think he might end up slipping back a little unless he can show a lot more than he did in his first outing for Metro. More in the mid first round range rather than top 10. But if he steps up over the remaining champs games that could change.

Marsh has been one of the most significant draft risers across this Champs series, leading the goal kicking for a dominant SA team that stomped the competition. The features of his game were all on display here, able to find space to lead up at the ball carrier, clunk marks on a full speed lead ala Mathew Lloyd, and capable of converting from anywhere with his elite set shot kicking.

Not sure whether we'll have a pick in the range to get him but this guy looks fantastic.

There's a lot to like about him. This draft pool is full of those 190ish cm players that in previous years would have been called "unfashionable" but with the game speeding up there are more of this type emerging. Logan Morris a perfect example of what Mitch Marsh might become.

Definitely the sort we need. Was very apparent yesterday.

If you're looking at midfielders with pace and damage then this kid is worth a look. He's not in the top 10 convo right now but that could definitely change

----

In some ways it's a pity for BOB that the Champs series ends here for SA as he was just rounding into some seriously impressive form over the last two games. He was one of SA's best in this one and put together a big third quarter to help his team surge out to a huge lead in that term. When he's at his best (as he was in this game) his incisive movement, bursts of pace, and elite ball use make him one of the most damaging midfielders in this crop. It feels like we're only scratching the surface with BOB, and he could be about to have a big second half of the season which should see his name quickly rise up draft boards.

Looks like a real prospect

Swadling from WA/West Perth would really suit the game style we're looking to play. Good runner and a very nice used by hand and foot. He probably falls between our first two picks though.

No sorry. I did mention a couple of weeks ago that I'll revisit Fincher if he has a big game for Metro. I still don't see him as draftable at this stage. I wasn't overly impressed with his first Metro outing in spite of the possession count, but I could be wrong on him.

I believe he’s in the top two for possessions, clearances, contested ball and ranking over 140 in the APS as a midfielder. Hasn’t played mid in Coates or Vic because of his kicking ability across halfback

Some SA prospects worth a look at ... Sam Cumming (Mid - 186cm) & Harley Barker (Wing - 187cm) & Matt LeRay (Wing - 189cm) ... all athletically gifted with good disposal / decision making and an eye for goal

All a good size with strong AFL traits that can be developed further

Greeves can find it but looks slow ... got caught a few times .... not sure we need to add any more slowness .... disposal looks ok though
