One of the best VFL performances by a draft prospect in this pool, Fincher was put straight into the midfield from the opening bounce and rewarded the coaches trust by ending among Sandy's best for the game. He worked incredibly hard and proved how tough and competitive he is by matching it with grown men in the clinches. He found a lot of the footy, laid plenty of tackles, and showed some poise with the ball.

oh baby, we got one here. Looks every bit as good as our other young mids did playing their first games for sandy, and then some

Fincher born overseas while mum was working in HK for a year. Technically he qualifies as an NGA for now but doesnt really meet the spirit of the NGA program. I believe the AFL has already rejected the Saints NGA application for Fincher for upcoming draft.
Why come here and make up lies.

The thing I took from that other than Fincher being a very good prospect, is that the umpiring is absolutely dog shit in the VFL.

The thing out of the video that grabbed my attention was the incredible change in the body structure of Keeler.
Has a massive torso now.
And….
Fincher is noice.

I umpired Brighton’s last game vs Casey.
Fincher was “injured” and didn’t play lmao.
The club is starting to get good at hiding talent

They clearly like Campigli so he's conveniently been "unavailable" for VFL the past 2-3 weeks yet has played elsewhere (APS Old Brighton I believe?)

Then Fincher who despite how bad Metro was, didn't play any midfield time. Then, as you say, didn't play last week and now we get one final look at him in the final VFL game of the season

Not exactly hiding him away playing him in the centre square in a televised game

Very impressive. I see a bit of Max Hall about him with his quick hands, acceleration from the contest and classy disposal.

We need more better ball users to expand on Nas, Sincs and Hall. We have too few in the team.

It really is our biggest flaw at present. Improve our ball use and we will win more games.

Keeler agreed several weeks back to do extra gym work on top of his normal training in order to build his body up to improve his contested work as a key forward and in the ruck.

I do not know if he will go the Full Tilthorpe, but by the start of next season Keeler should be a much bigger unit.

Exactly what they tried to do with Fincher!

We have a gun gents!

Thanks for the insight!

He should grow a big eff off beard too. He still looks about 13 in the face, so it could be a challenge.

Grlj 12th

MiniPou into 18th

Ludowyke 21st

Fincher into 29th

Sam Cumming season over

that would be a nasty place for him to land in terms of DVI points needed. would cost two thirds minimum whereas after pick 36 he is essentially free
We can go in to deficit I believe? Basically just lose points off our future 3rd? (Assuming we've already traded our future 2nd, as we love to do)

Geez he looks good

First I'd seen of Fincher on the weekend. Assuming we take him he looks the type to be a genuine round 1 chance. Busy player, uses the ball well and has great vision. Keen to see how he tests at combine.

He doesn't look much different in quality to a bulk of the first rounders this year.

Do we think Fincher might change a strategy at our first pick with Key forwards and defenders around that range?

My preference is MiniPou. Maybe Greece’s as a second option but he looks to lack a little intensity for a bloke of that stature in the midfield. Grjl and Cummings to a lesser degree.
