The only way I see us getting back into the first round for a Jev or Ludowyke is if they slide to Brisbane's pick

I'd give up our F1 2027 (~pick 23 in a stronger draft assuming we end up top 6) for what will be around pick 26 this year

We are stacked with 2027 picks and Brisbane have a very good NGA kid that year in Harrison Bridge who they'll need capital for to match a bid

The only issue is that we'd have to do this before the Annable bid comes in so we'd need to gauge rival interest in those two players pre-draft and take a risk without knowing who'll be available

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon dropped in at the national draft combine last month, but there was only one player he wanted to meet with.

The sole interview Lyon conducted at the combine was with likely first-round pick Jevan Phillipou, according to CODE Sports’ draft expert Chris Cavanagh.

After their aggressive trade and free agency period yielded four new recruits, St Kilda will approach this draft armed only with picks 50 and 65, but Cavanagh says the Saints might have one more surprise in them this off-season.

As I said last week and earlier today.

Keep an eye on Carlton’s 2 picks and also spoken to the suns and Brisbane.

I’d be pretty chuffed with Jevan. I think we lack a player in his mould on our list.

Geelong Hawthorn and Brisbane have his type in abundance

Oh God, we are going to trade draft capital for the little spud aren't we?

Two Phillipou list cloggers by the sounds.

Come @ me campaigners 🤨🤨

It’s the player that you draft and stash in the VFL for 12-24 months until they blossom in year 3 as a hard running half forward/mid with goals that changes games.

It’s a big yes from me if we do it.

We won't do a pre-emptive trade like that, though l agree with the rest.

Sounds like a poor man's Hall.

Hall who most now want to see in the midfield.

Butler & Ryan are 29.

We need to be developing that next player up and if you see Wilson as a winger, we look a little short on the depth chart in 12 months time.

Jevan also has little exposure due to injury and is already a first round pick.

Ill be happy if we use more than one pick at the draft on new talent and Dalrymple work his magic. Even Ludowke, Thredgold or Hetherton later in the draft would be a bonus.

Only the 2 picks and one is Fincher

I claimed him verrrrrry early on, but even I've jumped off him a bit considering our draft hand. Jevan could be a fantastic player and certainly has potential like most of the rest of the 1st round. We just don't currently have the hand to get him and you wouldn’t want to be spending early future picks on him.
Yep, that F1 has quite a lot of value comparative to this awful draft.
