Yeah looks good with his run and attacking mindset. Kicking as you say looks ok but not a huge weapon from that video.

Was just wondering something - who we pick at 7/8 might depend on where we see Langford/Lindsay/Windsor/Tholstrop and even Culley playing long-term. If we feel they are all mids, then we should target a half-back distributor for sure.

But if say Lindsay is seen as a half-back (or Windsor, shudder) or Tholstrop is only viewed as a half-forward then we probably should look at genuine mids.
I think Grlj looks far more suited to the role we played Windsor in last year in the backline and could develop into something there.

I’d honestly love him back at the club in some token role. Just seems a great person.

One of the most unfairly maligned players I can remember - and a lot of the fault is our own club of course.
Terrible work ethic, and a strong negative influence on our list at the time.

Which one of these qualities in particular has you eager to bring Jack back?

Lamb really has a thing for speculative talls. I would much rather have kept Woey and seen what he could do under a proper coach.
Not really a comparison though. Berry is a cat B rookie, Woewodin had a senior list spot. Woewodin was just Temu Sparrow, and Sparrow is Temu Viney, so meh.

Absolute guess, but I wonder if they're hoping Pickett might fall through to our pick 37, then White with 66, Sinnema as a rookie. That would leave us with 1 senior spot and 1 rookie spot available. We could then keep the rookie spot for the SSP and not use the max list size given we're paying Clarry.

yeah i'm pretty keen on this kid. in some other games Grlj went onto the ball and was a bit more rushed by hand, but he still seemed to make things happen. with more experience playing in there he could maybe fix that issue, but it was his movement through the stoppage traffic that really looked good to me. he would be a good option as a half back who can do bursts on ball imo.

Think top 6 (excluding academies) will be

Duursma, CDT, Robey, Sharp, Taylor, Grlj

Leaving us to choose 2 from:
Lindsay, Doverston, Marsh, Cumming, Schubert (Shudders), Grieves & Phillipou

I reckon he looks like he could be a Bailey / Butters type all going well.

Good speed, great skills, very evasive.

At this stage, wouldn't be at all surprised if we came away with two of Grlj, Lindsay and Dovaston.

The first two fit what King is seemingly wanting to do (Grlj for pace and attacking flair, Lindsay for kicking skills), while Dovaston fills an obvious list need.

Anyway, profiles/previews etc will probably come over the next week. Just busy with work currently.
