Tim Lamb has had cap space burning a hole in his pocket since last year when we tried to get Houston on a mega deal. It makes total sense when you think about it, we have nothing to offer but paying overs.

Yep. Be interesting to see breakdown of our cap because even with Trac and Oliver and Kozzy there still seems to be a fair bit of room there (Granted I expect at least one of Trac/Oliver to go).

How’s Windhagers inside 50 forward connection? Comes down to that if I want him or not. If it’s shit he can **** off, if it’s good I will roll out the red carpet. Just nervous at the idea we continue to go down the path of defensive minded players over offence.

That said Lamb will no doubt give up our future 1st for him, pick 23 won’t get us close as it will push back into the 30s.

Are we willing to give up a potential top 3 pick in the last draft before Tassie for Windhager?

I don’t trust that rumour anyway, what the **** would he choose Dees so early when we don’t even have a coach. Only rationale would be if we have out a ridiculously sized contract in front of him, which doesn’t work for me.
Meanwhile you're gagging for us to chase players aswell. Can't win with micho

Problem is we still have Oliver and Viney contracted for 5 and 3 years and they only play midfield so it's still just a pipe dream unless Bucks kicks one of them out of the midfield
I don’t think we will chisel out Viney. Push him forward a bit maybe? His disposal seems to be getting worse than better.

I can’t see us getting much for Oliver - Adelaide a vague possibility with our paying a good whack of his salary - but you would think they might have noticed a difference in disposal numbers, decline in what was elite handballing to players in space etc. He’d be a fingers crossed player so we wouldn’t get much back. If he is going to improve somewhat he is more likely to do it elsewhere.

Wade Derksen officially coming to the MFC for a late pick, according to the Herald Sun.

Anyone know if hes any good?

Young swingman Wade Derksen will also find his way to Melbourne, with the Giants prepared to strike a deal with the Demons for a later selection

While Derksen will be a Melbourne player next year, defender Judd McVee is likely to wait until a new coach is appointed before making a decision on his future.

He has strong ties to the Demons with his partner playing AFLW for Melbourne but also has rival interest from Victorian clubs.
