Why do you have to assume the worst with future picks? Who made that rule?They are relatively useless for them next year it’s soaking a Jed Walter bid. They would want two live picks (at least) and 9 this year is diluted. We are going to have to improve that hand a lot. Carlton fans would burn the place down if that’s the accepting offer. You always have to ASSUME the worst for future picks and Carlton would assume we’d improve.
They would require us to get in that top 5-6 this year (ie improving pick 9) then they might consider it. How we do that stuffed if I know
Cody Walker, that's his name not Jed Walter, could easily be pick 1 in the draft. They are going to need picks for next year.
And even if they didn't for some reason, it doesn't alter the value of our selection as they could easily trade it themselves next year. There's another trade period next year as well.
