What are you giving to be able to trade up?
Let's say for the sake of argument we trade with Essendon to get him. That's a two spot jump. I'd do a second rounder for that which will probably get eaten up by Dean anyway. Similar to what Essendon/Geelong did in 2023 for Caddy.

We’re going to need an extra 2nd rounder to match Dean, can’t be going down one

After watching the champs I've come to the following conclusions:
  • Harry Dean is a top 10 talent (I'm hoping for the usual F/S slide).
  • Josh Lindsay is the best player in the open pool that fills a list need. I have him in my top 5 overall.
  • Cody has cemented himself as one of the top 2 prospects for next years draft.
  • Ison is the only NGA product that belongs on the list.

If I were Austin, I'd be packaging the TDK compo pick (likely around pick 9 to 11, after matched bids and FA compensation) and the 2026 1st for Lindsay + change for draft points.

lt is quite possible we do something similar to last year letting Kennedy & Owies go, think there are number of players on our list we may do the same to continue to bring in young talent.
Would imagine thats why we're hearing names like Acres mentioned as trait bait.

If we have a few moves we want to make as well as picking up Dean and Ison we're going to need more draft capital.
