I am....robey reminds me of Sam Lalor, greaves has a weird body, short legs, fat ar$3 and long torso...bit of a manchild. Think robey has a lot more upside. Happy to be proven wrong
Robey has far more upside due to his supreme athleticism. Whether he ends up making the most of those gifts is anyone's guess, the sample size of him playing on ball was fairly small unfortunately.

Is Cody better than Humphrey?
As a junior prospect? Yes.

But overall it depends on how good Humphrey ends up getting with his skills and whether Cody has any growing left in him.

Right now Cody is the better footballer at the same age but Humphrey would have him on strength and power purely because he's such a big unit. If Cody grows to that 6"3 sort of size he'd be borderline unstoppable.

Robey is much more athletic than Lalor, while Greeves legitimately plays like a short-legged TDK.

I’m not a close follower of the draft this year, but apparently we have been the club most interested in Josiah Landy (Eastern Rangers).
I was hoping you'd say Lattrell Pickett.

Then again we should be accustomed to Nick Austin being allergic to selecting small forwards with some semblance of skill or speed by now 🤔

Young fella at Strathmore, Christopher Scerri, who was best on in U18 GF last year and again best on in the senior GF this year against Keilor.
Lightning quick, just a jet who has matured later than others of his age but has taken his game to another level this year by playing in the VFL with the Bullants. It’s no surprise that when he came back to Strathmore to play in the finals we went from not getting close to Keilor to beating them convincingly twice to win the flag.
I hope Carlton are looking at him

Very unlikely.
I’m no Austin fan in this space but I can’t help but think an aggressive LM would be finding a way to get a pick in before Dean.

I’m not a draft expert but just based on available reading and draft order, I don’t see Dean going before pick 8.

In a supposedly weaker or shallower draft it shouldn’t be as hard to climb ahead.

Obviously still a lot to play out

There are 2 factors, risk and currency.

The top draft journos at the AFL (8), Fox (6) and The Age (5) have Dean inside the top 8 (that's from their work talking to recruiters and managers, not just from their own observations).
Assuming Dean slides would be a significant risk.

Then there's currency.
We already spent up big on Jagga, and we're going to need extra for Cody next year.
We've had 3 players request trades to us already, and we're only holding what are currently 35 + 45 that are worth any points this year.
Even when we get the TDK and Jack compo picks, that's FA to get ahead of a Dean bid, and match Dean, and Ison.

If we trade Charlie to the Suns, aside from the players we bring in, it will be much easier for them (and desirable for us) to give us Future Currency, rather than for this draft.

Goal kicking mid. Great tackler also.

I watched a bit of the Easter Rangers GF win and he was prominent.

Not sure about his kicking though, probably why he's rated outside the top 40.

An aggressive list manager would use the pick to bring an established player in, then have enough to cover the bid

We had two quality 1st round picks last year and didn’t use either on an established player, this year might be different, I see more likely us getting a B grade player and trading down, which I’m not too keen on.

We did use those picks to pick up a kid that was rated the best player in a loaded draft class for much of the season, which was our aim.

What makes you think we are going to pick up a B grade player with that pick?
