Skills look a cut above what I saw during the champs carnival this year.0 pressure on the kickers outside of stoppage but a few already showing why this draft is rated so far ahead of 2025s crop. Some real zip and excitement in a lot of the players games in comparison.
Tied to WCLiking what I see from Garrison Kenh

We'd have him available to rookie pre-list at this stage, but he just doesn't run much at all. If he's not foxing (and that's an extreme level of it), I'd suggest we'd invite him to train rather than take the immediate risk.Spoke to someone in draft circles recently who rated Mingarra Clarke higher than Ison. Will be interesting as to whether we take him through the NGA as well.
I agree, there's some good flankers in this draft but question marks on a lot of them which will see them rated a bit lower than their talent suggests they could be. Kondogiannis, Sharkie, Pickett-Sumner etc. Finally the draft pool is taking shape into something that makes sense, and I'd be very happy with the entire top 40, subject to list requirements. Plenty on offer unless you're after extremely quick players that aren't academy linked, or super athletic 195+ cm talls with a kick to match.
Not sure about that, a lot of clubs will be loading up for next year so there is a chance clubs take a few extra late pints in this year's knowing there's a lot of quality coming next year.Lots of clubs are still foxing, so I'd expect a pretty encouraging 60-70 in the national draft this year.
I'd love to know how he tests in terms of endurance and agility/acceleration. To my eye he seems fairly bloody good as an athlete but literally just does not get on the move unless the balls within 5m of him. We'd have him available to rookie pre-list at this stage, but he just doesn't run much at all. If he's not foxing (and that's an extreme level of it), I'd suggest we'd invite him to train rather than take the immediate risk.
Selling Cooper Lord and Ben Campo shortPlz Austin just find a way![]()
Jagga, Walsh, Robey, Walker, Cerra
Robey + another top 13 prospect before Dean is my pass mark if we're letting Charlie go, and there's plenty of star mids in that range as well as Marsh.Plz Austin just find a way
Jagga, Walsh, Robey, Walker, Cerra
Yep. One of those two will always be in the Carrazzo/Curnow/Hewett grunt role while some other good players are on the flanks or rotating in.Selling Cooper Lord and Ben Campo short
It’s probably time for Dean to get arrested in the CBD and slide down the order a bit. Using the TDK compo pick, Sydney’s first rounder if Charlie goes and then getting Dean and Ison would be a glorious result.Robey + another top 13 prospect before Dean is my pass mark if we're letting Charlie go, and there's plenty of star mids in that range as well as Marsh.
Lord is a good youngster, B.Campo is too but needs to fix his kicking before he finds his way into the AFL team long term.Selling Cooper Lord and Ben Campo short
The price for Cody alone is going to be astronomical. Its very unlikely we'll be able to get an extra bite before or after himSo impressed with the u17 game today. Reckon we could be looking at a super draft.
After Cody obviously, I really liked Gabe Patterson, Neocleous, Will Maladay, Archie Hill, Kenh, Butler and Mellody.
If we're targeting Butters next year as a FA we could target the draft and pick up a couple of the above with Cody.
Yep, becomes a huge sacrifice, but we need to ensure we have a second selection in the 2026 first round (at very least a good second) going in to next season.Problem with this being such a strong draft is nobody will want to give up their first selection for a future pick. Our best chance to secure a top pick next year would to do it this year when sides have recency bias and prior to trade period.
We could dangle TDK's compo in front of Collingwood or the Saints for their 2026 pick. Both teams will be in the middle section of the ladder and that along with our regular 2026 pick should secure Cody. Huge difference if he goes at Pick 2 or 3 instead of 1.
Can assure you all there are absolutely no issues whatsoever with Robey's character. Kid is an absolute beauty and from a quality family. If the baggers get him, you will all be very very happy. If we get pick 2 I'd be sticking with duursma or Lyndsey, especially if you believe the poster who had question marks on robey's character
Not gonna lie, that midfield going into the future would get me slightly arousedCan assure you all there are absolutely no issues whatsoever with Robey's character. Kid is an absolute beauty and from a quality family. If the baggers get him, you will all be very very happy.

Robey's run and dash is impressive but just looking at his game day videos to me his disposal really needs work. Not gonna lie, that midfield going into the future would get me slightly aroused
Sam Walsh - Sullivan Robey - Campbell Chesser
Liam Reidy - Jagga Smith - Cody Walker
Adam Cerra
Interesting first post. Welcome to BF.Can assure you all there are absolutely no issues whatsoever with Robey's character. Kid is an absolute beauty and from a quality family. If the baggers get him, you will all be very very happy.
He needs to do a lot of work on his handballing and spacing in the midfield that's for sure. But given he was playing as a lead up KPF early in the year until the switch on ball I'd suggest he should be able to make significant improvements to both with a solid pre season with AFL level skills development.Robey's run and dash is impressive but just looking at his game day videos to me his disposal really needs work.
