If they traded us their first 3 picks for 11 it would be a slight upgrade in points for us, and they’d left with 57, although it would come in a bit.North?
Give away 3 first rounders for a potential draft Bolter who may be in 5-10 range anyway ?Robey looks perfect for the modern game … Powerhouse mid/forward.
Slot him in amongst Walsh Smith Walker Cerra and Lord/Camporeale and our midfield looks so potent going forward.
He/they will also have the protection and guidance of Cripps and Hewett for a few more seasons yet.
I’d take luck out of the equation and offer WC picks 9,11 and Sydney F27 first pick for pick 2 with hopefully a little something coming back.
Take Robey Dean Ison this year.
Take Walker next year and Amartey for nothing as a FA and we’re ready to rock n roll in 2027 !!
Florent Weitering Dean
Cowan O’Farrell Chesser
Walsh Cripps Hollands
Hayward Amartey Robey
Moir McKay Ainsworth
O’Keefe Cerra Smith
Walker Ison Kemp Motlop Lord Wilson

So maybe. Can’t see anyone else doing it.
Yeah, slightlyDoes 13 & 41 from wce work?

I’d be happy with any of those deals, but I’m not sure they would be offered.I wouldn't be trading back into multiple picks.
We have the point for Dean with 9 and if there is bleed over into pick 11 it should only move down a few spots.
I'd only be trading 11 into 2026 and adding a second this year. Next years draft is better and it gives us points to cover off and early bid with Dean and Ison points.
One of these i'd consider and I think those clubs would also.
11 > GWS F1 2026 and pick 35
11 > Coll F1 2026 and pick 39
11 > WBD F1 2026 and pick 33
Being armed with 3 firsts in an elite 2026 draft would be huge. Walker and another top pick.
Stamos, if we wanted to move up in this year’s draft to get a top 3 three pick would the following be feasible:If they traded us their first 3 picks for 11 it would be a slight upgrade in points for us, and they’d left with 57, although it would come in a bit.

Neither, just depends on if anyone wants to reach for a player.I’d be happy with any of those deals, but I’m not sure they would be offered.

I wouldn’t be throwing in 27R3.11 + 27F3 -> NORTH for #25 + #26 + #46
After bid matching, gives us approx:
~#24 + ~#25 + ~#43 = ~1395
1395 - 1205 (pick 11 points) = means we have +190 points.
Then there's our own pick 43 and 54 which will probably come down to ~#40 & ~#49...
1395 + 238 + 86 = 1719
If Dean is bid on at pick 8 (imo the worst case scenario) then we need 1299.
1719 - 1299 = 420
plus the 84 for discount, means we'd effectively have 504 points and can match an Ison bid at pick 29 (1 point off 28 so that deficit is insignificant) which is probably around his range anyway.
If he's bid on at pick 10, then no issues at all.
Send our pick 9 to Pies/Freo/Giants for their F1.
I reckon something like that. Another thing to remember, our pick 11 will end up being pick 14 or 15 anyway.
It’s just you.Is it just me or does Ison resemble Pendlebury the way he moves and kicks. Lots of stopping and propping, not overly quick but seems to have time.
Agreed I won't be shocked come draft night if Ison's name gets called in the first 15. Came home like a train and has some special qualities. People make the Pendlebury comparisons, I see more Nat Fyfe with his ability to go forward. Obviously I’m not saying he'll be a Brownlow medalist but I have faith that he will have a very good AFL career. To be honest im pleasantly surprised Ison hasnt shot up the rankings more.
Big powerful athlete, strong finish to the year, clearances + goals.
Has all the characteristics of a bolter, particularly in a weak draft.
Only thing missing is a strong combine (sat out thankfully).
Can't think of many beyond pick 10-12 that Id rather then him.

He's a lot more of a thinker than Fyfe. Fyfe just ran through blokes as a specimen of pure strength. Ison likes to get physical on occasion but isn't the type to barrel through a contest like Fyfe used to. I think the Pendlebury comparison is more accurate as he generally looks to slow things down and draw opponents towards him to release a teammate in space.Agreed I won't be shocked come draft night if Ison's name gets called in the first 15. Not as a Junior. He was stick thin. Watching Fyfe as a junior I couldn't have imagined he would turn into the brute he did. He looked like a guy who would float through HF and Wing and was strong above his head. He's a lot more of a thinker than Fyfe. Fyfe just ran through blokes as a specimen of pure strength. What I'm saying is, if we do all that on the day and the player we were after we are still opening up a list spot. If we had surplus points, say, you wouldn't think we'd just pass on pick high enough to draft someone worth taking.I reckon we'd only trade up if we are targetting a particular player and are pretty sure we can get him.
If there isn't anyone we specifically want to trade up for or aren't sure we could get them, then I'd suggest we'd just trade out and try to get extra picks for next year and make sure get Dean and Ison.
Some of you people seem to have a 'death wish' (so to speak) as far a bids are concerned. It's not osmosis, you know. They don't play any better once they've received a higher bid than expected.Agreed I won't be shocked come draft night if Ison's name gets called in the first 15. Yeah I guess that's true. Ison does have the wide shoulders already, has a magnificent frame for an 18 year old to fill into. Not as a Junior. He was stick thin. Yeah not that sure where you're coming from there. Just giving an opinion based on observation. Some of you people seem to have a 'death wish' (so to speak) as far a bids are concerned. It's not osmosis, you know. They don't play any better once they've received a higher bid than expected.
