So a bloke that arrived at the club already on his second chance - completely fails as a professional athlete (at the very least) to the point the club delists him with a year to run on his contract but if he can keep his s..t together for a preseason we will welcome him back with open arms because his 17 possessions and half a goal a game are just too good to pass up?
IMO this is a line in the sand moment of what our club stands for and what standards we are willing to accept.

There were 8 re-rookies, and a couple re-drafted last night. All the Cat B, next-gen, and father-son options would have been pre-listed prior ot the rookie draft.

It's nice they finally woke up to it a year or two ago but prior to that it really was baffling. Weren't even selecting bad players, just all slow contested beasts. Was no balance in the list.

If Lij is showing all the signs of turning a new leaf we have absolutely nothing to lose by letting him trial over summer. If not, kick him to the kerb I don’t care.
I was happy he was cut, but if Walsh hasn’t given up on him then I’m not going to be close minded over it.
I watched this replay last nite - Vic Country vs Vic Metro in the U18 Championships. All three of our draftees were playing that day.
If people have a bit of time over the summer break, I encourage them to check it out. Ison was a little quiet this game, but Dean and Byrne were sensational. Dovaston was playing for Metro, did four fifths of **** all, but up the other end, Byrne was just lighting it up
