Dagless i sent you your prize money. Seems this UP online bank I'm using does allow me to send money directly to people whove previously sent me a payment — as long as their bank details were used initially when sending to me. A lot of people in Empire are enabled for this, but a few people are grayed out, where I need their bank details to send them money.

Average yards per kick return: 26.1

Average yards per punt return: 14.9

Yeah need to bring the kick returns points down for sure. Too easy now to get big yards with the rules.

Well, its actually punt return scoring thats changing.

A kick abd punt return previously was 0.2 per return each. But there are three times more kick returns than punt returns, so punt returns are now 0.6 each vs 0.2 for a kick return.

Meanwhile, yardage per return was equal at 0.05 each previously, but kick returns are averaging twice as much as punt returns. So now punt return yards score 0.10 per yard, while kick returns remain at 0.05

Some other cosmetic changes to kicker scoring (merely cosmetic, the way the algorithm works). Whilst punters have been slightly boosted (points per punt yards) increased by 0.015 — given teams are punting far far less these days due to better field position from kick returns, offensive philosophy going for it on 4th down more, and general improved offenses. This 0.015 increase helps re-create equity in scoring totals between the top kickers and top punters. In recent seasons, due to the factors above, punters have been gradually scoring less and less than kickers when previously they were nore equal, so this tweak brings that equity back between the two positions — the top kickers and punters should now roughly score 190-190, 150-150, etc, whereas in last few seasons it was dipping to 190-150, 150-110, etc

Sorry,, been tweaking it thru the night for more reasonable levels.

Average yards ratio kick to punt return yards is 2:1 in NFL (28 vs 14)
So...
Kick return yards. Reduced from 0.05 to 0.02
Punt return yards From 0.05 to 0.04

That 2:1 flipped to 1:2 in favor of punt return yards

Average number of kick returns made to punt returns made is 3:1 in NFL (1,200 vs 400)
So...
Kick return attempts. Still 0.2.
Punt return attempts. Increase from 0.2 to 0.6

That 3:1 flipped to 1:3 in favor punt return atts

Also...
Removed the +1 bonus point for kick and punt returns made of 40+ yards

Note....
punting and thus punt return atts and yards are falling dramatically in today's NFL due to better field position from kick returns, increase in teams going for it on 4th down, and general ease of offenses in modern football.

Note....change in K Balls has resulted in increase in kickers attempting and making 50-60+ FGs

Fantasy points for punters been dropping too far below kickers last few seasons.

So Punters boosted to gain closer equity with frequency of kickers

Punters. Pts per punt yard. Increase from 0.02 to 0.035
Effect...
Punters and kickers should now be more equitable again between each other.
