Both really good points.

The midfield might need to be more of a premos / rookies setup to make up for the lack of defensive options

100% this. I was trying to make Freijah/SDK work as D5 and 6, but eas robbing Peter to pay Paul, and not in a good way. Stack your forwards and midfield.

Is this too mid-priced heavy? lol (D7 and D8 could be any rookies)

I just feel like all of D1 -> D5 are 15-20 points underpriced.

Still got 180k in the bank which i could upgrade any of them to a super premo (probably Libba)

I think its doable as long as you are happy with them all, and you are happy with your captain options each week

Round 2 bye, needed 2 goals to get to 110, Green to come back next week, and same price point as Oliver/Day/Cerra types who have a better argument as to why theyll go 90+ for the year due to history.

Despite the 110 from Callaghan idk if hes a must have

Green's back next week? Wasn't he in a moon boot today?

Tough one, if I had to bet who averaged more I'd take Libba but thinking Ed as a PoD with a decent ceiling for the first 4-6 weeks is not a bad shout.

I think my last spot will be one of Libba, Richards, Shiel, Ashcroft or Powell.

I've been on Croft all preseason but can see him having a slow start.

Yeah toss up with him and Richards for me, Hawthorn having the early bye doesn't help me much.

Day round 0 gives him the nod for me. I don't expect he'll be a long term mid for me but the cash gen is hard to pass up.

What happens to that with Green as the primary big bodied mid in there?

Hes a good pick but I'm trying to pick the best of them haha
Looking at last years CBAs cogs/peatling had a lot at any 1 time (not often both in same game) so I think he can step up to that void

Kelly the risk as he didn’t get much last year but a mainstay today.

My guess is that the 78% that today went to leake/greene/Daniel’s largely goes away.

Green and Callaghan become the clear top 2. Then Kelly and then a lesser amount to Daniel/green

But I’m no GWS expert

I also think it'll be Green and Callaghans midfield, with Bedford and Kelly still getting a lot of CBAs, but I dunno what Callaghans ceiling is with Green being the #1 guy.

I'd have liked to see Callaghan vs better opponents. Pies midfield is pretty average.
A good game in a more prominent role without Green, vs a relatively weak midfield that was comprised of a small outside runner who cramped up after a half of footy, a 37 year old who can't keep up with the younger guys, and a guy who wasn't good enough to be a mid at GWS.
Was an ideal game for him.

I need to be able to justify why he is a better pick than Oliver, Day, Cerra, etc who are all at that same price point.

Love Callaghan, followed him closely for a couple years and thought he could become one of the best players in the comp. But, I'm worried his impact is much higher then his fantasy scoring will be. Can definately see him making a big jump this year with the higher cbas, just not sure if that's low 90s or high 90s yet.

He's the type who can be bog with an 80 though, similar to day. In that price bracket I think I have day>cerra>Callaghan but wouldn't talk you out of any.

Im looking at fitting all those you’ve said alongside him but probably means no perryman (I can fit him too but the rookies I think suffer too much)

I'll probably end up with all 4 of those guys, but I dont like stacking up so many at the same price, very few options if I have to dump one early and have no spare cash to go up.

Almost forces a restructure if nobody in the 500-600k bracket forces my hand

There’s so many 4-650k guys to drop to and put that on someone elsewhere
